Neighbor in Need A Gentle Reminder About Court Attire Assistance!
If you have a scheduled court date and need clothing assistance, please do not wait until a few hours or minutes before your appearance to reach out. Arriving unprepared can leave the wrong impression with the judge.
If you call ahead and provide your court date and clothing sizes I can prepare items for you in advance. Please try to come at least the day before your scheduled court appearance so you have time to prepare properly.
Keep in mind......
We do not have the means to wash clothing on site.
Our items are donated and may need to be washed or pressed before wearing.
You do not need to wear Sunday or Easter attire but you should be clean neat and appropriate.
If you are unsure what is suitable for court please ask. I am happy to guide you.
I truly want to help you present your best self. Preparation matters. Please do not rush the process if you have not prepared ahead of time.✅ What IS appropriate

This Is What Emergency Assistance Can Look Like ... One of Many Ways!
Before my day officially begins this is how it starts.
Filling baskets with apples crackers and snacks. Preparing emergency packets. Setting out hygiene items. Getting ready for the men and women who will walk through our doors.
What does emergency assistance really look like?
It looks like someone recently released with nothing but the clothes they walked out in.
It looks like hunger pains so strong you hear the fast rip of a chip bag and see someone miss their mouth because they are trying to calm an aching stomach.
It looks like a temporary warm place to regroup.
It looks like toothpaste soap and dignity.
Some have committed crimes and paid their debt. The question becomes what now. If we do not create safe bridges back into society we cannot be surprised when desperation makes decisions for them. Sometimes I can offer a small task and a few dollars. It is temporary relief but it restores dignity. It benefits the center and it gives someone a moment of purpose.
Emergency assistance is not glamorous. It is simple. It is a snack to steady shaking hands. It is hygiene for someone carrying their life in a backpack. It is compassion with structure.
We serve all who truly need help. When we ask questions or deny certain items like backpacks it is not to be harsh. It is to protect resources for those who literally carry their homes on their backs. If you have housing we will gladly provide hygiene products but we must reserve certain supplies for the unhoused.
If you can assist by offering temporary work paying small wages or connecting returning citizens to opportunity please reach out. Supporting reentry is not just about them. It is about keeping our entire community safer and stronger.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink I was a stranger and you invited me in.” Matthew 25:35

Good morning neighbors ☀️
Due to unexpected technical difficulties, this morning’s food distribution will be pushed back. Unfortunately, our computer has stopped working, and I am unable to complete the required documentation without it.
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for always supporting us and for your continued kindness.
