Exquisite kale salad.
#1 most important aspect of making an exquisite kale salad, is to slow down, use your hands, enjoy the process.

Take deep breaths.

🍋With bare hands, tear the kale off in small ish pieces from their fibrous tough stalk. Discard said stalk.

🍋Douse with fresh organic lemon juice ( one whole lemons worth )

Let the essential oils of the lemon juice soak into your hands & take deep heaths so that you can get those EO benefits while “cheffing” & taking your time. Enjoy the moment 🍋 💆🏼‍♀️ 🧖🏻‍♀️

Generously add freshly ground Himalayan sea salt . Later on, more lemon juice as needed, or red wine vinegar. Maybe some extra virgin olive oil for added dynamic.

💆🏼‍♀️ massage until you can feel the plant cell walls breaking down a bit.

Add a bunch of nutritional yeast & later…. Additions of your choice, goat cheese, toasted pumpkin seeds, sweet peas. 🫛

What’s especially delectable about this Sunday Salad is not the toasted on the stove top ( by me ) pumpkin seeds, nor the glazed to perfection garlic ginger roasted tofu cubes , but the butter lettuce grown by (my brother in law) Will & the deep dish ceramic artwork its presentation rests in…( also glazed to perfection by my sister , Wills wife!) . Nutrition comes in all forms. & this one is a triple threat!!

Join certified yoga instructors Delphine Davidson and Ashley Sharp, for All-Levels Mindful Flow Yoga encircled by towering cypress and the melodies of nature... the birds, the bees, and the mighty ocean.

Saturdays with Ashley
This easy-paced, moderately challenging yoga class focuses on the fundamental poses that make up a well-rounded yoga practice. Yoga increases awareness and mindfulness of the breath and body, while quieting and regulating the nervous system. As an added benefit, practicing yoga outdoors leads to a deeper sense of connection and myriad health benefits, such as lowering stress and anxiety levels. Nature's wisdom and contemplative Buddhist themes will be woven into the class. Ashley's style is non-pretentious, humorous, and friendly. This class is appropriate for anyone, of any age, shape, or size. No experience or level of flexibility required.

Sundays with Delphine
All levels are welcome in this class, which combines Delphine's in-depth knowledge of safe alignment with dynamic movement. Mindful Yoga combines creative sequencing with Delphine's love of classical yoga. You’ll find restorative moments and snapshots of sculpting intensity. This 60-minute class aims to support you in slowing down, tuning into your intuition, cultivating physical health and psychological well-being using postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama) with the goal of developing a grounded, focused, and peaceful mind.
