Today I finished MacKenzie's treasure chest. I decided to do a maple inlay in the top for the coin slot to give the purple heart a little contrast. Really happy with the joints and overall quality. C**t has already asked for one too. I've got some different ideas for his maybe in walnut and maple or maybe even paduk.

I had to take a bit of time off for a shoulder surgery but got back in the shop last week two make this beautiful endgrain cutting board made of walnut and maple. I love getting online and finding ideas for new projects to do. I remember having this awesome cheese slicer as a kid and the perfect slices it would make. Today I ditched the knife and made this one out of cherry wood and put it together. I have hardware for about seven more. If anyone is interested for maybe a Christmas gift or your own kitchen let me know. I'm going to do some different wood combos as well using walnut and maple for sure. I'm going to let them go for $30 each plus shipping.

Was playing around in the garage today with some glue ups that I had done about a month ago and decided to make this cute little tea light candle holder. Its made out of maple, cherry and walnut. It really is a pretty decorative piece. If anyone is interested in purchasing this item please let me know. $25 + shipping.

Here is a little shoutout to my friend sharktooth who hiked 1800 miles with me and summitted Katahdin together. I have been wanting to make a photo transfer to wood project for some time now and decided this would be the perfect time. I used a nice rough cut Walnut for the backing and used maple to represent the 2 x 6 white blaze. Coincidentally she is from Vermont so I felt the maple was quite fitting. I decided on a rough vintage look for the photo, you can see the flaws but as with everyone on trail, we all have flaws. It's the finish that counts, and the perseverance of working through those flaws is what makes you exceptional. Congratulations Sharktooth!!

Today I started playing around with the idea of a shot glass flight board. I got a little work left to do with the drill press on this but I think it will look great.

Unfortunately it looks like I will be limited on some of the projects I can work on as it looks like another shoulder issue. I can still do smaller work such as the beautiful endgrain cutting board made from Walnut, Cherry and Maple. If you are interested in one of these or the growth charts please let me know.
