Brenda Sue Lee

Brenda Sue Lee, 77, of Fort Branch passed away surrounded by her loving family at Bridgepointe Health Campus on November 21, 2025.

Brenda was born on June 19, 1948, to the late Warren and Dorothy (Conner) Eaton in Princeton.

Brenda was a loving and kind woman throughout her life. She cherished being outdoors and enjoyed taking long drives through the country. She loved her animals, but more than anything, she loved her children and family. In her younger years, she found joy in singing and dancing. Brenda was a woman of faith her entire life, carrying her belief in God with her throughout every season. She also enjoyed cooking and listening to Elvis, whose music was a constant source of happiness.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Ronald Lee; stepfather, Frankie Douglas; siblings, Fred Eaton, Alvin Eaton, and Linda Eaton; and her stepson, Michael Lee.

Brenda is survived by her 2 loving children, Chuck (Nicki) Epperson of Fort Branch and Latricia (Scott) Conklin of Fort Branch; stepchildren, Theola Darrah of Haubstadt and Jodie (Ink) Dewig of Haubstadt; grandchildren, Ethan, Austin, and Landon Conklin; step-grandchildren, Timothy Darrah, Keith (Christie) Dewig and Jamie (Nick) Meny; and her sister, Vicki (David) Hulse.

Brenda’s family would like to give a special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice and the Bridgepointe Health Campus staff for their excellent care of her.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Stodghill Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vincennes Animal Shelter. Expressions of sympathy may be made at stodghillfuneralhome.com.

Why do we wear black to funerals?

This custom actually started in the Roman Empire with mourners in dark togas, called toga pulla.
Tradition has carried through the centuries — but we’re curious: Do you typically wear black to funerals?
