Carlos with Music through the Ages returned this afternoon to delight our residents. Carolynn was particularly interested to learn a tidbit about Pat Boone. Nine months after the release of his hit, "April Love," he and his wife had a baby.

Happy Speech-Language Pathologist Day! Hard to believe grad school graduation was nearly a decade ago!!! I’ve been working in the medical field helping adults since 2016. Reflecting back on my time spent in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehab units, outpatient setting, long term acute/ acute care hospitals, and now my own private practice, I can’t help but be grateful for all of my experiences thus far. It has been a very fulfilling career even though I had no clue how many times I would have to explain what we actually help with (talking, thinking, and swallowing). 😂🧠👅🗣️🍴🫁

Either way, believe in yourself and try your best but don’t beat yourself up if you don’t achieve all of your long term goals. Celebrate the small accomplishments and know that it’s the effort that counts. Life and progress is not linear and more times than not, the journey is bumpy but WORTH it!
