Poudre Infusion Therapy Nurses recently led a Peripheral Intravenous (PIV) Training Course for Columbine Health LPNs, focusing on foundational knowledge, best practices, and hands-on training for safe and effective IV insertion and management.

A special thank you to Nurse Manager Lindsay Arries and RN Kathy Cote for leading the lab and guiding our LPNs through this important skill development.

📢 A New Chapter for Columbine Health Systems

After 55 years of providing exceptional care to seniors in Northern Colorado, Columbine Health Systems announces Cottonwood Healthcare will become the new management company and operator for Columbine’s skilled nursing and rehab facilities, including Columbine Commons Assisted Living at the Windsor campus. This transition takes places on December 1, 2025.

This decision, made by our founder Bob Wilson, reflects his unwavering commitment to the well-being of our residents and employees. Rest assured, all employees at our skilled nursing communities will transition to the new management company, ensuring continuity of care and familiar faces for our residents.

The communities included in this transition are:
- Centre Avenue Health & Rehab (Fort Collins)
- Columbine West Health & Rehabilitation (Fort Collins)
- Lemay Avenue Health and Rehabilitation (Fort Collins)
- Columbine Commons Health & Rehab
And attached Columbine Commons Assisted Living (Windsor)

Services will remain uninterrupted. Cottonwood Healthcare shares Columbine Health’s values and dedication to high-quality and compassionate care. During the transition, Cottonwood Healthcare team members will be on site to assist with the transition.
