Opportunities that the CSU HPSA: Rehabilitations Therapy Club Provides:
• Sponsor informational speakers by bringing in representatives from health professional programs in the US and abroad
• Provide an opportunity to meet other students with similar interests in the health professions
• Offer shadowing experiences in the field and provide leadership opportunities
• Are actively involved in campus and community service activities. What are Rehabilitation Therapies?
• Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Music Therapy are health and rehabilitation professions that help individuals regain, develop, and build skills that are important for independent functioning, health, well-being, security, and happiness.
• PT and OT practitioners work with people of all ages who, because of illness, injury, developmental or psychological impairment, need specialized assistance in learning skills to enable them to lead independent, productive, and satisfying lives. Health Professions Student Association (HPSA)
• The HPSA serves as a key to success in the health professions is getting involved in your community. At Colorado State University there are many organizations and groups geared to a wide variety of interests. Becoming involved outside the classroom will help you to meet new people, get better grades, stay in school, and be more competitive on graduate school applications.
• HPSA focuses on integrative health care to reflect the current direction of health care professions.
