One of our favorite questions are "what does an average day or week look like for my loved one?" The answer is...it depends on the residents and the day! We tend to follow a structure of fitness classes, education classes and sensory activities to get our residents up and moving. We utilize therapy pets to come and visit, weekly outings to try new restaurants or do something fun, like see the botanical gardens. Happy hour is a favorite, karaoke, and courtyard dance parties even laughter yoga! Come see for yourself all the fun that we have!

We had the absolute best time with Ellie’s little farm bringing their new spring babies! Residents had great stories of their own farms and animals that they grew up with. Mostly it was the moments of absolute joy that you could see on our residents faces that made this such a fun afternoon.

Let's just say we love a good sunny Colorado day! Our courtyards make the perfect area to sit out in the sun, enjoy a good BBQ, and do some gardening!

Pam has a look of intense concentration as she works to paint her seedling pot! Residents are hard at work getting ready for our gardening. They started with some seedlings and as those grow, we will add them to our courtyard gardens! If you have a green thumb we welcome, you to volunteer!

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than getting outside in the fresh air! Our wonderful resident Pat visits Hearts and Horses every Wednesday and it is always fun to see. One big question we get all the time is "can my loved one leave the community?" Our answer? Of course! We encourage residents to continue doing the things they love and keep those experiences happening.

Thank you Shannon for coming to play for us! Music is such a large part of our lives here at Aspens. We utilize music to set the tone for the day and bring back sweet memories for our residents. Thank you Alzheimer's Association for having us for the Paint the Night event! It is always a great time getting together with people who have the same vision! Hearing and sharing stories of why this is our purpose creates an impact that exceeds far beyond our community. We look forward to the Alzheimer's walk in September!
