Meet Alexandra Gray.

Alexandra brings a calm, supportive presence to her work, helping clients navigate challenges in a way that feels approachable and personalized.

She works with children, adults, and older adults 60+ who may be moving through things like past experiences, life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed.

Her approach is collaborative and meets people where they are, meaning you’re not expected to have everything figured out. Together, you’ll build understanding, develop tools that actually work in your day-to-day life, and move toward feeling more grounded and supported.

Alexandra is also trained in EMDR and may incorporate this into sessions when it feels like the right fit.

She’s often joined by her certified therapy dog, Beans, whose gentle presence can help create a more relaxed and comfortable environment for those who prefer a companion during sessions.

Alexandra offers both in-person and virtual sessions. Book a session with her and meet the rest of the team at lhhealththerapies.com

When a child starts to doubt themselves, it’s not always about confidence alone.

Often, something underneath is making everyday things feel harder than they should—whether that’s coordination, sensory processing, or managing frustration.

Over time, those challenges can impact how a child sees themselves.

Occupational therapy helps break those barriers down, building skills and creating small, meaningful wins that help children feel more capable in their daily lives.

If you’re looking for a simple, accessible way to engage with Mental Health Month, this is a great place to start.

Mental Health America is hosting a free virtual event centered around this year’s theme: More Good Days, Together.

The event is designed to be practical and approachable, with sessions including:
• gentle movement (chair yoga) to release tension and reconnect with your body
• guided journaling to reflect and process what you’re carrying
• a conversation on building daily habits that support your mental health
• breathwork to calm your nervous system and restore focus

Join from anywhere, take what resonates, and leave with tools you can use in your day-to-day life.

You’re not doing anything wrong and neither is your child.

Feeding challenges are more common than people talk about, and they often come down to a mix of sensory, motor, and emotional factors. With the right support, children can build confidence around food in a way that feels safe and sustainable.

Our feeding therapy team works closely with both children and parents to create a plan that fits your family—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Our Patient Engagement Program is officially here!

At Lighthouse, we see the consistency, effort, and growth our patients show up with every day. This program is a way to celebrate that.

Here’s how it works:
👕 Pick up your Lighthouse t-shirt at your next visit
🎟️ Earn tokens for attending sessions
🎁 Use tokens for prizes, gift cards, or monthly drawings
❤️ Or choose to donate your tokens to a monthly cause

You can even earn extra rewards when you wear your shirt and visit us at community events.

It’s simple, fun, and built to recognize the work you’re already doing.

Ask your therapist or stop by the front desk to join the program at your next visit.

May is Mental Health Month!

At Lighthouse, we see every day how mental health shows up in different ways—for children, for parents, and for families as a whole. Sometimes it looks like big emotions. Sometimes it looks like stress, disconnection, or simply feeling overwhelmed.

This month isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about creating space for conversations, support, and small steps forward.

Whether you’re navigating something big or just trying to create more balance in your day-to-day life, you don’t have to do it alone.

Speech isn’t just words—it’s a full-body activity. Kids use multiple muscles for breath control, articulation, and coordination, which takes real physical effort. When these motor skills aren’t fully developed or supported, children can get tired or frustrated, and it might look like resistance rather than fatigue.

Occupational therapy can support core strength, oral motor coordination, and overall stamina, making communication easier, more enjoyable, and less tiring for your child.
