🏆After more than 30 years of dedicated service, we’re celebrating a true legend at The Youth Clinic, our beloved provider Lorrie Kehmeier, PA-C is stepping into a well-deserved retirement.

🥇Lorrie was one of the very first Physician Assistants to join our team, and her compassion, expertise, and unwavering care have touched countless lives. She’s been an integral part of our story — shaped the very heart of who we are and will always be part of our DNA. 💙

🌟 Meet pediatrician Dr. Kirsten Sampera! 🌟

Since joining The Youth Clinic in 2007, Dr. Kirsten Sampera has been a trusted partner to families across Northern Colorado. With a medical degree from Mayo Medical School, pediatric training at UCLA’s Mattel Children’s Hospital, and a Fellowship in Integrative Health and Medicine, she brings both deep expertise and heartfelt care to every visit.

👧 What’s one experience every child in Northern Colorado should have?
“Spend as much time each day as possible outside.”

💬 Favorite part of working with patients?
“Partnering with patients and families to achieve their health goals through relationship and collaboration.”

Mason joined The Youth Clinic in 2016, bringing with him a rich background in education, environmental sustainability, and pediatric care.

👨‍⚕️ What he loves most about his work?
“Getting to know my patients and their parents over the long term and watching them grow up.”

🌲 One must-do for kids in Northern Colorado?
“Spend as much time outside as you can.”

Before becoming a PA, Mason taught high school Science and Spanish, served in the Peace Corps in Nicaragua, and worked as a Wilderness Instructor. He holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

🏥 Since joining The Youth Clinic in 2008, Dr. O’Brien has been a trusted partner in helping families grow and thrive. Originally from Longmont, CO, his journey in medicine took him from John Carroll University to Creighton University School of Medicine, and then to residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas. But his heart brought him back to Northern Colorado, where he’s been caring for kids in Northern Colorado for 18 years.

💬 “One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to know my patients and their families—and having the privilege to be part of their growth and development.”

🌲 His top recommendation for local families? Exploring the trails and waters of Horsetooth Reservoir!

👨‍👧 As a single dad, Dr. O’Brien brings empathy and real-life experience to his practice, understanding the unique challenges many parents face.
