Having practiced holistic therapies since my late teens, it has been a lifelong passion of mine to gather knowledge from ancient traditions, such as Ayurveda, Thai Massage and Reiki. I have formulated a range of Ayurvedic Skincare products, using the ancient healing traditions of India, and my intuition. I sell my oils in several stores around the country, online and I get to use them in my Ayurvedic Therapies, here in Fort Collins.

Find the stillness within! 🕉️

Time to lay down, receive, breathe, release and connect with your inner peace during this beautiful 2.5 hour workshop.

We’ll start with some gentle mindful movement to shift some energy and to connect our body with breath, before moving into some longer held restorative/ yin poses.

Once we’re in a calm and dreamlike state you’ll be guided through a Reiki Drum Journey to find healing and guidance.

We’ll end with some time to journal or meditate whilst I play some bowls, before closing out the circle over some chocolate. That wasn’t part of the plan but now it is! Haha.

My new baby 💕

Such an honor and a gift to work with to make this buffalo hide drum 🤩

She was tougher than the elk one I made, and I had to undo the string 4x because I kept rushing ahead, not slowing down and having a tough time softening the edges around the hoop.

Which is metaphorical for my life right now. I’m learning the hard way what it means to slow down and soften. Over and over. This time was a fall down the stairs. Oopsy.

Anyways…I can’t wait to journey with this beauty, she’s going to be so deep and so soulful and so powerful 💕

And so it begins…

Another chapter.

Drumming has been a major part of my life for almost 20 years, when I learned the reiki drum technique at the age of 21.

It has provided so much insight, clarity and healing during this time and I cant wait to learn how to teach others this sacred practice.

Forever grateful for the medicine of the drum and for those who passed this medicine down through their lineages to us today.

Can’t wait to reconnect with my reiki master Sarah Gregg, who I learned from at the age of 17 🥰

This drizzly weather got me craving stewed apples 😋

So easy to put them in a pan (peeled) with some cardamom, cinnamon and fresh ginger with a tiny bit of water and raw cane sugar.

Topped with cashew and coconut yoghurt, salted pecans and oats it feels soo satisfying.

Plus it has all 6 tastes, sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter and astringent.

Bowing in gratitude to the wisdom of Ayurveda and all the teachers who have taught be before me. The Vaidyas, the warriors, the priest and priestesses.

I trained amongst incredible beauty in the mountains of Ayurveda, and it feels right to be teaching in the mountains.

Looking forward to sharing this wisdom of Marma with my students today.

Beautiful moment from a wild, wet, wonderful, fun, special evening with 5 very special souls.

We practiced meditation under the rain, thunder and lightening (until it got a lil too much).

Once inside, it felt so incredibly quiet and calm, listening to the patter of rain and the rolling thunder whilst feeling the kisses of cool breeze across our skin. This easily allowed us to drop into a space of rest and release. Offering holding and gripping, to Mother Earth.

One of my favorite things about it here in Colorado, is the weather. The gift of a new day brings so much beauty and change. And learning to adapt and roll with it is so exciting and fun. I love it.

Join me, Emma Horne, in a safe and sacred space, gathering in circle to meditate, stretch, ground, journal, share journey and integrate. Deepening our inner awareness, intuition and spiritual connection.

We will begin by dropping into our bodies, clearing our energy fields through gentle movement and then immersing ourselves in a 30 minute drum journey. The evening will end with a gong bath, essential oils and all the yummy things.

What to bring: Eye mask, journal, pen, yoga mat, anything you’d like for comfort (blanket), an open heart and mind.

Very special day making my own drum with

It was a beautiful hind to work with, and I chose an elk hind that had scar marks from an attack. Possibly cougar or coyote. Apparently this means it’s a warrior drum with double the medicine. Feeling so blessed.

I have to wait a couple of days for it to dry, but it will be ready just in time for my drum class on Thursday ❤️

And I like to think the little E mark, was for Emma, not for Elk 😉
