We had such a fun and meaningful week here at MS FTC! From potato bowling and our lively St. Patrick’s Day party to sweet moments of connection—like a Reflections resident caring for a friend and a joyful high-five between a caregiver and resident—it was a week full of smiles. Jack kicked off the holiday with six Irish songs at breakfast, with Jim joining in on the piano, and we were honored to welcome MSU guest speaker Annie Mullins, who traveled from Ireland to share the rich history of Saint Patrick with warmth and humor. 💚🍀

This week has been bittersweet at MorningStar. We said goodbye to Michelle, one of our dedicated housekeepers who has been part of our community for over 9 years. Michelle has touched so many lives—from sharing homemade goodies with team members to leaving sweet pillow treats for residents and always caring for our community with such kindness. One photo captures Mary thanking Michelle for her servant heart and the incredible care she has shown since nearly the day we opened. We celebrated her last day with cakes of every flavor, flowers, and a beautiful keepsake gift.

We also enjoyed some joyful moments this week during a lively musical performance by Kendra. Her interactive show had residents smiling, singing along, and having a wonderful time together.

In honor of Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating the incredible women who make our MorningStar communities so special. 💐

Meet Dorothy Foster, a resident with a beautifully diverse international background who has lived in multiple countries and speaks several languages. One of Dorothy’s favorite memories began while working for NASA as a math aide, where she met her husband, an aeronautical scientist. She still remembers him coming home and telling her that seeing her was “the best part of his day.”

Dorothy later spent more than 20 years living in Europe, experiencing different cultures and hearing powerful stories that helped shape her outlook on life.
Her advice to younger generations is simple but powerful:

✨ “Say it like it is and be strong. You have to say what you want and don’t be shy or worry about being too ‘ladylike.’”

From childhood days horseback riding and searching for “treasure” to a life full of travel and discovery, Dorothy continues to inspire everyone around her.
We’re so grateful to celebrate Dorothy this Women’s History Month and the wisdom she brings to our community.

Residents recently enjoyed an outing to Art Castings of Colorado, a renowned bronze art foundry that has been trusted by artists around the world since 1972. Known as one of the cleanest and most efficient foundries in North America, it was fascinating to learn about the craftsmanship and artistry behind these incredible works.

We also gathered to celebrate a very special milestone for one of our own. Our talented chef, Gajo, recently completed the MorningStar program that prepared him to step into a new role as Executive Chef in Idaho. While we are certainly sad to see him go, we are incredibly proud of his accomplishment and excited for this next chapter in his career. We wish Gajo nothing but the best and many blessings as he begins this exciting new journey!

A week full of sweet moments and big smiles at MorningStar! 🍫🏀

Residents enjoyed a fun outing to Nuance Chocolate Co., where they sampled a chocolate “flight” and learned about the history and flavor profiles of five unique cacao beans. One resident even shared a personal connection to one bean’s origins in Holland — a special moment that made the experience even more memorable for everyone.

Back at the community, our “Basketball with a Twist” exercise class brought plenty of laughs and teamwork. It wasn’t about skill — it was about moving, connecting, and having fun together.

From chocolate tastings to friendly games, it’s all about joy, learning, and sharing experiences.
