Ever wondered if you really need X-rays before starting chiropractic care?

Not all chiropractic patients require X-rays—but when they do, it’s because your spine has a story that can’t just be guessed. At Square One Health, your first visit always starts with your history, a posture and neuro exam, and a personalized plan. Imaging is only used when the findings suggest a structural issue—like degeneration, instability, post-trauma, or posture patterns that matter.

Modern digital X-rays produce very low radiation (comparable to just 15 minutes in the sun) and help us safely tailor your care, track real alignment improvements, and avoid “one-size-fits-all” adjustments.

Bottom line: You may or may not need X-rays. But if your body’s alignment and posture show more than a typical muscle ache, imaging becomes a high-value tool for precision and progress.

And think about it this way — you wouldn’t go to your dentist without X-rays, right? So if you’ve never had X-rays of your spine……how do you really know what’s going on inside?
