We are excited to announce that approximately 95% of residents and 73% of staff members have received dose 1 of the COVID-19 vaccine. This compares to a median of 77.8% for residents and 37.5% for staff who received ≥1 vaccine dose, as reported by CDC through the first month of the national program.

Kay S. and Alex M. had a blast playing "Tamburello" in celebration of "Italian Day". This has been a traditional sport in Italy since the 16th century named as such because it is played with a tamburello or tambourine.

In celebration of "Italian Day", our Dining Service Director, Samantha Bonner, served up a feast of eggplant parmesan and Italian salad accompanied by tiramisu for dessert today. Following lunch our Recreation Director, Alex McKey put on a game of Tamburello in the dining room with some residents. Tamburello is a game that is very similar to a the game of lawn tennis and can be played indoors.
