The Looking Glass(es) is a local family owned boutique optical shop. We carry unique stylish frames We carry unique stylish frames and hats you need!

Bring in your prescription, and we will make you the best pair of glasses you have ever owned! Our goal is to provide high-quality eyewear and lenses at-or-below market rate in a modern atmosphere of community service, sustainability, and ecological responsibility. We offer a unique selection of frames including vintage frames and designer frames from smaller companies. It is our constant endeavor to carry as many American-made frames as possible. If we dont have that perfect frame in stock, ask! Chances are we can probably get it.

Meet the team! ☺️ Kendra, owner and founder of The Looking Glasses. I asked for some fun facts not necessarily related to optical, and I've gotta say this might be one of my favorites:

A follower of Jesus, wife and mother of 3. Outside of work I am homeschooling my lovely daughters and volunteering at church. I also love savoring artisanal cheese, intercessory prayer, perfecting my chocolate chip cookie recipe and reading perhaps too much. Some of my favorite books include; Hinds Feet on High Places, Avengers of the Moon, and Persuasion. Lately, My family and I have enjoyed pinball competitions together on the weekends. My kids are a constant joy! I am so thankful for the ability to enjoy both work and motherhood.

I have a superpower enabling me to sleep till noon. I'm reading 1 Corinthians right now. Sometimes when I see yellow light I pretend I'm Anakin pod racing. I am a descendant of Dr. Fuller who came on the Mayflower. I hate plastic silverware.

Meet the team! Evelyn is our optical manager and has been a key part of our team since 2021. Setting aside her optical genius, let's learn some fun facts about her:

A huge part of what we specialize in is unconventional eyeglass repairs. While your average optical may try to sell you something new, we believe in the longevity and value of your frames! Kendra is the queen of soldering, which makes us one of the only opticals in NoCo to attempt a fix like that. We also do parts replacements, hinge replacements, bonding broken plastic, and SO much more!

One of my favorite repairs I did was restoring and putting new lenses into a gentlemans glasses he had received from his father after he passed away. How meaningful to make such a personal, sentimental pair usable for him, and a small way to remember his dad by. ❤️

Did you know we an optical finishing lab? That means when your lenses arrive to our shop, they are about the size of a hockey puck and we cut them down to fix your exact frame and your personal measurements. We go through a multi-step process to insure the best quality throughout!

1. Check the Rx on your lense to insure it matches exactly what we ordered.

2. Dot it up accordingly. Depending on if you have a single vision, progressive, of bifocal lense, we will put necessary markings on it.

3. Edge your lenses to fit your frame. That includes scanning your frame, inputting measurements from both your frames and measurements we took from you when you ordered, preparing the lense, and cutting it down to size.

4. Install lenses into frame and check out your glasses. This is where we double check your prescription, and insure that all of your measurements we input come out accurately.

5. You receive a call! This is when you can come pick up your new specs! 😎
