Brianna Mai is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals and families navigating life’s many transitions — including pregnancy, postpartum, grief, trauma, identity shifts, and the profound changes that come with becoming a parent. She is especially passionate about supporting pregnant and postpartum mothers through seasons that are both deeply meaningful and deeply challenging.
Brianna believes healing happens through connection — with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. Her approach is relational, attachment-focused, trauma-informed, and collaborative, drawing from emotionally focused therapy, somatic practices, cognitive-based models, and client-centered care. She values slowing down, creating space, and allowing healing to unfold gently and intentionally.
At Inner Shell Therapy, Brianna loves being part of a grounding, compassionate team that dreams big for its clients and leads with softness, purpose, and care. She brings warmth, presence, and genuine curiosity into each session, honoring the whole person — body, mind, heart, and spirit.
Therapy myth she’d love to bust: Therapists aren’t here to give advice — they’re here to help you create the change you want.
Fun fact: She’s inexplicably terrified of worms (and is bravely working on it).
Mantra: The quality of your life is deeply connected to the quality of your relationships.
