Wholebeing
By Cara Muth, March 23, 2025
Wholebeing is like a warm embrace,
Wet tears on your face,
The gentle light of a new dawn,
The worn mattress you’ve slept on,
The ache in your muscles after a long walk,
The fullness of your heart after a heartfelt talk.
Wholebeing is like determination etched on your brow,
Returning, repeatedly, to the here and now,
A blister on your toe from dancing all night,
A natural cost for carefree delight,
The inner turmoil that rumbles within,
The unending effort to accept and mend.
Wholebeing is like the sob that finally breaks free,
A letting go and a release,
That first deep breath you’ve taken all day,
The satisfaction when something goes your way,
The struggle to grasp and learn something new,
Coming home to the answers already within you.
Wholebeing is everything that makes you whole,
The entirety of your body, mind, and soul,
Encompassing all, the good and the bad,
What makes you happy and sad,
The cycles of learning, growing, and being,
A lifelong study of self and what gives you meaning. #
