✨Shine Day Program✨We support and inspire individuals of all abilities while promoting inclusion and independence. Advocating for the individuals we serve.

Shine provides Day Habilitation Services and Supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which is community-based. We support the abilities and skills needed to access typical activities of community life. These include community education and volunteer activities. Our services give opportunities to create and build relationships and natural supports in the community. Our support inspires greater independence, socialization, inclusion, and personal choice. We strive to advocate for and empower each individual that we serve.

We are delighted to announce our partnership with the SAVA Center NOCO and their educational program, SOAR (Safety, Opportunities, All abilities, Resources). We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in making this collaboration a reality and to the CSU Department of Occupational Therapy for graciously providing us with a suitable venue to host these classes for the next eight weeks.✨

We were able to experience The Butterfly Pavilion at the Gardens on Spring Creek that is a year-round conservatory featuring 400-600 free-flying North American butterflies and moths, a chrysalis viewing window to see them emerge, and tropical plants, offering an immersive, educational, and beautiful experience for nature lovers. 🦋

This week's STEM project was so cool! We made lava lamps using oil, water, food coloring, and alka seltzer. Shoutout to Kevin for helping us with this awesome experiment. 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬
