Rosemary Frances Privitzer passed away April 18, 2026 in Fort Davis at the age of 87 years. She was born on February 11, 1939, to John and Frances Gruber in Chicago, Illinois. She loved collecting various figurines/ dolls. She was a loving mother and grand mother, and providing for the family. Her passion was taking in nature.

She is survived by her son Bernard Kuemper of Fort David; daughter, Veronica Garcia of Sarasota Florida; grandchildren, Eric O’Brien, Nicole Bradbury, Trevor Vetor, Dietrich Vetor, Alex Garcia, Aaron Garcia and Megan Kuemper

She was preceded in death by his, mother and father; son, Edward Kuemper; daughter, Christine Kuemper; brothers, Johnny Gruber, Bill Gruber, Joe Gruber, and Franz Gruber.

Memorial Service will be at The Church in the Mountains, Saturday May 2, 2026 at 1pm.

Janie Marie Roberts, 79, of Marathon, Texas, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Janie lived a life deeply rooted in faith, service, and love.
She was born on February 4, 1947, in Leesville, Louisiana, to Annie Marie and James Frank Hyde.
From a young age, Janie dreamed of being a cowgirl, and in 1969, she met a cowboy, Jack Lee Roberts, who would become the love of her life. They were married on June 5, 1971, and built a life together centered on family, faith, and unwavering devotion.
Janie had a deep love for music and found great joy in playing the piano for her church and for her grandchildren. She was a talented quilter and crocheter, lovingly creating prayer shawls and blankets that brought comfort to those facing cancer and other hardships. Janie also had a gift for hospitality and cooking—no one ever left her home hungry. Her love for her family was evident in all she did. As a devoted stay-at-home wife and mother, she poured her life into caring for and nurturing those she loved most.
Janie is survived by her beloved husband, Lee; her children, Lea Ann Morris of San Angelo, TX, Jess Roberts of Lubbock, TX, and Amy Roberts of Marathon, TX; and her grandchildren Gage Williams, Logan Williams, Christopher Stephens, Mia Roberts, Sydney Roberts, Meghan Bahr, Katie Morris, Jack Morris, and Emily Morris. She is also survived by her brother, John Hyde, and her sister, Sandy Farris, both of Bryan, TX, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Frank Hyde.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Grove Cemetery in Alpine, Texas.

Ronald David Davis age 78, of Ft. Davis, TX, formerly Bloomer, WI, passed away peacefully in his sleep March, 20th 2026 at Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton, Texas, from Lewy Body Dementia/ Lymphoma Cancer. He was born September 29, 1947 to Malcolm and Doris (Bauer) Davis, at home in Dallas, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Cindy Lou Davis, who cared for him with all her heart, and stayed by his side, until he passed over. Children: Tammy Davis, Tracey Davis Grandchildren: Logan Moschkau, Trinity Davis, Clarissa (Cal) Kraegenbrink, Amelia Moschkau Great Grandchildren: Nataya Davis, Wren, Lark, & Reed Kraegenbrink Siblings: Lloyd Davis, Dana Davis, Dennis Joe Davis, Susan Rosenbrook Many beloved Cousins, Nieces, & Nephews, extended family & friends.
He is preceded in death by; Son: Todd Davis Parents: Malcolm & Doris (Bauer) Davis Siblings: Lois Fluegel, Norman Davis, Francis Davis, Darline Cole, Joyce Bohl, Jerry Davis “Son in his heart” : Steve Baumann. Ronald was a graduate of Chetek High School, class of 1965. He married Cindy in 1969 and they began raising their family in Wisconsin. His faith and family have always been a priority in his life, and he adored his grandchildren. He had the mind of an Engineer, and it seemed he could fix just about anything. He had multiple businesses/careers throughout his life, owning Dairyland Silo, Davis Trucking, and Alpine Diesel. He also worked as a lookout in the Fire Towers near Chetek, WI. He loved the view so much from above the trees, and knew Cindy would as well, so they both began working it. He also worked as a Bulk Mail hauler for the US Post Office. In Fort Davis, he worked for the Davis Mountain Property Owner’s Association, and was a long-term Volunteer Fire Fighter For the Davis Mountain’s Resort. He also hauled water in his army truck, ”Rambo 2” for many years with their dog Bandit at his side. Always willing to lend a hand, countless people were fortunate to have him stop alongside them on the road, and help them on their way again. He loved music and to sing, and was asked to share his voice since his youth. He had an infectious smile, the “gift of gab”, and strangers were friends he just hadn’t met yet. He especially enjoyed fishing, and some of his happiest times were spent taking his family and friends out on his Houseboat, where we would fish while singing along to oldies music of the 50’s, visiting, grilling out, and enjoying the peacefulness of being on the lakes in Northern Wisconsin. In 1995 Ronald and Cindy fell in love with the Davis Mountains, and decided to make them their home. Ronald was a devoted family man, a friend to the community, and remained an unwavering admirer of the beauty that surrounded him. He will be greatly missed.
A funeral services will be held at Fort Davis United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11am. The graveside Services will follow at Davis Mountain Community Cemetery , Fort Davis, at 1PM Saturday, March 28, 2026. A celebration of life will be held May 9, 2026, at 11am with a luncheon to follow at: Bethel Lutheran Church- 148 E. Pine Street, New Auburn, WI 54757.

Yolanda Martinez Salcido, 72, of Fort Davis, Texas, passed away peacefully at Big Bend Regional Medical Center on March 16, 2026, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on February 8,1954, in Alpine, Texas, to Manuel and Josefina Martinez. Yolanda grew up in Fort Davis and graduated from Fort Davis High School in 1974. She went on to work as an Administrative Assistant at High Frontier, where she dedicated 22 years of her life. She truly loved her job and the people she worked with, forming many close friendships over the years. Yolanda also had a special heart for the residents at High Frontier and took pride in mentoring and supporting them.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and was always there to cheer them on, whether it was at sporting events or rodeos. Yolanda enjoyed crafting in her free time and never passed up a chance to visit a casino and play the slot machines.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, her strong love for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her.

She is survived by her husband, LeeRoy Salcido; sons, James Martinez of Fort Davis, Timothy Salcido of Fort Davis; daughter, Liliana DeLuna and husband Tommy DeLuna Iowa Park, Texas; grandsons, Levi, Layton, TJ, and Lathum DeLuna and Taygen Salcido; sister, Rosie Salcido and husband Hooper Salcido and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband Israel Arevalo, her brothers, Moy, Pancho, Manuel, Adolfo, Adan, Jimmy, Ernest and Eddie, her nephews Jacob Martinez, BJ Martinez, and niece Trinity Hernandez.

Family visitation and rosary services will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday from 4:00-7:00. Services will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Davis, at 10:30 Friday, March 20, 2026.

Malloy Kerley-
Roslyn Malloy Kerley, 35, passed away on January 26, 2026 in Fort Davis, Texas. She was
born on November 30, 1990, at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas, to Don and
Susan Kerley.
Malloy grew up in Fort Davis, where she graduated from Fort Davis High School in 2009. A
talented athlete, she went on to attend Cornell College on a golf scholarship. Throughout
her life, Malloy had a strong work ethic and was deeply connected to both the land and her
family’s roots.
She worked as a landscaper for Magnolia Farms and also helped run her family’s cotton
ginning business as a proud sixth-generation member. In recent years, her love for the
outdoors was enhanced through her time in America’s national parks. She spent the last
two summers working at Devil’s Tower in Wyoming where she embraced the landscape and
the community around her.
Malloy had a creative spirit and a warm heart. She enjoyed cooking, creating art, and
working with plants, and she was an enthusiastic fan of women’s professional soccer. She
will be remembered for her adventurous nature, her kindness, and her love of the outdoors.
Malloy is survived by her parents, Don and Susan Kerley; her brother, Kyle, and sister-in
law, Brittany; her nephew, Cole; grandmother, Rosa Leake; and many aunts, uncles, and
cousins. She is deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 14th from 1-4pm at the Balmorhea Community
Center in Balmorhea, Texas.

Robert W. Delaware Jr, 86 of Fort Davis, Texas passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2026 surrounded by his beloved family. Robert worked construction but also applied his trade of pipefitter to industrial settings such as chemical plants and oil refineries in and around the Houston, Texas area. But when it came to a life-long interest in particular pursuits, Robert thoroughly enjoyed building projects, even framed houses for a time, and was skilled in woodworking, masonry (including stone work), and always demonstrated expertise with endeavors requiring electrical know how.
Born in Houston, Texas to Robert W. Delaware and Erma Delaware, both of whom were born in Franklin County, New York, Robert fell in love with Fort Davis in the 1980's and moved here while in his 50's. To the end, he believed this region was one of the most remarkable places on earth.
He is survived by his daughter, Tia Delaware, son, Robert W. Delaware III, and granddaughter Jessica Castro.

Robert W. Delaware Jr, 86 of Fort Davis, Texas passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2026 surrounded by his beloved family.
