Last month, the Division of Rural Affairs hosted the TTUHSC One Team Fellows in the Big Bend region. The Fellows heard directly from community leaders about the challenges, as well as opportunities, that are the reality of rural health care.
They engaged with a panel of regional partners, toured Big Bend Regional Medical Center, and visited the Davis Mountain Medical Clinic which has telehealth services supported by TTUHSC / Texas A&M University Health Science Center. The goal of the visit was to showcase what rural communities truly need and how partnerships with TTUHSC can positively impact these remote areas.

Today is a busy day for healthcare. The clinic will be closed today, Wednesday, March 25th, as we participate in a moderated discussion with TTUHSC and SRSU on rural healthcare efforts and challenges in the Big Bend, and then join the Jeff Davis County Library's Spring Into Health event with the American Heart Association.
