"Why did 3 of my family members have the same pain? This past weekend, I traveled to Missouri for a baby shower. One of the fun (and predictable!) parts of being a Physical Therapist is that family members often come to you with questions about their aches and pains. Usually, it’s a mix of knee, neck, and shoulder issues. But this weekend was different! I had three separate family members come up to me, at three separate times, describing the exact same pain."

What a great patient perspective from Zelda Farmer!

"Being a very active person (4 mile walks, mowing my lawn, gardening, etc.) I had torn a muscle needing a major surgery. Directions from surgeon "no weight on that leg for 8 weeks." At that time, I was mostly sitting using a walker for weight bearing. I started PT at 6 weeks & continued for 6-7 weeks. Without Fort Dodge PT I would not be where I am today. They have worked hard with me building my muscles up, helping me with my balance again.

Three months from surgery I'm up to walking one mile w/o cane & increasing it every week. Staff are all very kind & professional. I could not have done this without them. I'm pushing 82 years. A few restrictions yet but my next season back to lawn & gardening & bigger walks! I give each of them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐s!"
