Dear patients and friends,

It has been my pleasure to serve our community for the past 43 years as your optometrist. I have had the privilege of meeting many wonderful people over the years and have enjoyed serving you and your families. It is with great happiness and a sense of fulfillment that I announce my intention to retire in 2025.

Drs. Brent and Bethany Heath will assume the care of my patients. Dr. Brent and Dr. Bethany are licensed optometrists, having 17 years of experience working with patients from the Fort Dodge area in a corporate setting one mile down the road. Drs. Brent & Bethany graduated with clinical honors from, my alma mater, the Illinois College of Optometry, in Chicago. They are outstanding optometrists and will take great care of you and your family.

To ensure you receive continuity in your eyecare, I will begin to turn over my practice to Drs. Heath in January 2025. My excellent staff will be staying to work with Drs. Brent and Bethany and will continue to assist you throughout the transition. I will continue to see patients part-time while Dr. Brent transitions into the office full-time.

I appreciate your loyalty throughout the years and will take the memories of all I have experienced with me to retirement. I wish you continued good health and all the best in the coming years.

Dear patients and future friends, January 3, 2025

I am pleased to be joining the optometric practice of Dr. Jeffrey Foreman in the next few weeks and assuming your care when he leaves for retirement in 2025. It is an honor to join such an exceptional practice, and I look forward to getting to know you and your families.

The team and I wish to make this an easy and positive transition for all and we look forward to carrying on Dr. Foreman’s fine tradition of warm, professional, and personalized eyecare. We have worked together over the past several months to ensure that the care and service you rely on will continue.

I have been practicing optometry, in Fort Dodge, a mile down the road in a corporate setting for the past 18 years with my wife, Bethany. I completed my undergraduate work at the University of Nebraska, and earned my doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) in 2006. My professional interests include urgent eyecare, ocular nutrition and macular degeneration prevention. My interests outside of eyecare include anything outdoors, exercising, and spending quality time with my family.

Dr. Bethany will be joining the practice after our youngest son enters kindergarten. She grew up in Dubuque, IA, graduated from the University of Iowa in 2002, and received her Doctor of Optometry from ICO in 2006. Dr. Bethany’s professional interests include pediatric eyecare, cosmetic eye health, and new technologies within eyecare. Her interests outside of eyecare include traveling, reading, & domestically engineering our big family.

I would like to thank Dr. Foreman for sharing his insight and clinical pearls with me as we have worked together behind the scenes for the last few months. I look forward to providing a stable and comfortable environment where you can continue to enjoy the very best in local comprehensive eyecare.
