🌸 End of Spring Semester at SIM 🌸

It’s hard to believe we’re already here! Finals week is in full swing at Iowa Central Community College, and graduation is this Friday! 🎓

The past few weeks have been full of hands-on learning, critical thinking, and skill-building across so many of our programs. From patient care scenarios to skills labs and collaborative training, our students have been putting in the work, and it shows.

📸 Take a look through these photos to see just a glimpse of everything that’s been happening here at SIM lately.

To our students:
You’ve made it through another semester of challenges, growth, and accomplishments. Whether you’re taking finals and then preparing for the next semester, or walking across the stage at the end of this week, we are so PROUD of you and everything you’ve achieved.

Congratulations to our graduates! We can’t wait to see where you go next! 👏

Another great week at the Simulation Center! 👏

We kicked things off Monday with a group of Theory 2 students from Webster City campus, dove right into hands-on learning and building their confidence in patient care during their second visit to Sim this semester.

Monday - Wednesday, we also welcomed our Theory 1 students from Fort Dodge campus for their very first day in simulation! It’s always exciting to see students take those first steps, practice new skills, and start connecting classroom knowledge to real-life scenarios.

Great work to all of our students this week! We’re proud of the effort and growth you’re showing already! 💙

Shyanne took Sammie on a field trip yesterday to Southeast Valley High School for a College and Career Fair. He was able to interact with many students and visitors.

Part of the Iowa Central EMS team had a great time attending the College & Career Fair at Southeast Valley High School! It was awesome getting to talk with students about the opportunities available through our EMS Program and what a future in emergency medicine can look like.

A huge thank you to Shyanne from the Simulation Center for bringing along their pediatric manikin to showcase! It was a great hands on addition and sparked some great conversations!

Thank you again to Southeast Valley for having us! 🚑

It’s been a busy few weeks here at the Simulation Center! We’ve had Theory 2, Theory 4, MLT & A&P students in the labs, all building hands-on skills and confidence through simulation.

We’ve also enjoyed welcoming groups for tours and sharing what makes our center such a unique learning environment.

We also had a session of manikin maintenance with Shy and Susie.👩‍🔧

Happy Friday!!!!

Thank You Betty!
