It feels like November came and went in the blink of an eye!

It was packed full with amazing students, hands-on scenarios, mass casulty scenarios, community visits, campus and hospital staff collaborations, and we loved every minute of it.

We’re proud to collaborate with area schools that share our passion for healthcare education! A huge Thank You for bringing your Intro to Health students to experience the William G. & Marlys Smith Simulation Center at Iowa Central. Hands-on learning makes all the difference! ☺️

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the team at Iowa Central for welcoming our students to the Iowa Central Health Education Sim Lab. Each year, our Intro to Health students look forward to this field trip, as it provides them with valuable insights and hands-on experience in various aspects of health industry. We appreciate our partnership with Iowa Central Community College and the opportunities it offers our students.

This week is Radiologic Technology Week, and we are excited to recognize our amazing team members! Our Radiology Imaging team performs CT scans, MRI scans, Nuclear Medicine studies, Ultrasound imaging, fluoroscopy and X-ray. We are so thankful for their amazing work at Trinity Regional Medical Center and are so glad they are part of our team!

Happy Halloween and Facebook Friday 🎃🩺✨
The William G. & Marlys Smith Simulation Center has been buzzing with activity these past two weeks!

Last week we hosted:
• Two groups of Theory III Nursing students from Webster City
• Two groups of Theory I Nursing students from Webster City
• CMA students from Fort Dodge
• A&P II students from Fort Dodge
• A Triton Visit Day for local and surrounding area high-school juniors and seniors exploring healthcare careers.

This week we welcomed:
• Eight groups of Theory I Nursing students from Fort Dodge
• Students from Woodward Academy in Des Moines for a tour and hands-on visit
• Career Discovery Day guests exploring Nursing and the Simulation Center experience

It’s always inspiring to see future healthcare professionals learning, practicing, and discovering their passions here at Iowa Central! 💙
