To our former patients:
Effective July 11th, I will not be checking the office@lighthousefamilymedicine.net email, or the facebook messages as frequently. I have some requests I am waiting to retrieve from Dr. Dowden to process, but if there are any requests that have been sent in, and you are still waiting for your record, please send an email to office@lighthousefamilymedicine.net OR a direct message via FB with your name(s), DOB, and the email/home address you would like it sent to. I will do my best to have these completed by the 11th.

I have been receiving a few records requests that I have record of processing and mailing at a previous date. For example, I received a request that was processed and mailed in Oct. 2023. Please check all mail that you may think is junk mail. The envelopes containing your record are a 6x9 orange clasp envelope!

It has come to my attention that some Primary Care offices do not have the capability to view records in the format that Lighthouse processes them. If you had a request to be sent to your new office, and they state they do not have your record yet, please 1) Ask if they are able to view CD discs, and 2) if they do not, let me know so I can try a different format.
I am aware that Mclaren Primary offices and the office of Dr. Jarad/Canto DOES NOT view discs. There have been quite a few records I had previously sent to a few offices and was not informed at the time that the office was not able to view the record. Happy Valentines Day to all!
Update: Dr. Naqvi's office does not view CD records

Please be informed our staff member that has been doing our medical records is on Maternity Leave. While continuing to process requests, there is not a time limit set to complete these requests during the leave of absence. They are still being processed in spare time during this timeframe.

Update for medical records:
I will be experiencing another delay mailing records. If you have a pending request, I understand you have been waiting patiently, additionally the importance of needing your medical information for your new providers! If you would like a PDF version of your record and do not wish to continue waiting for a CD disc, please send a private message to the FB page, or an email to office@lighthousefamilymedicine.net with your name, DOB and please specify that you would like a PDF file sent to your email. Our email is secured! Again, I apologize for the delay!

Dear patients,
Updates are continued to be given on our page to keep you updated on the status of processing medical records and other relevant information with the closure of the office. There have been multiple occurrences of having negative comments regarding Dr. Dowden. It is impossible to meet the expectation of every single patient, and we strive to treat each patient with kindness. The option to comment on the posts will be removed if this continues. If you have something that needs to be addressed, PLEASE send a private message or email. A reminder: with the office now closed, medications cannot be refilled and new medications cannot be sent in. Thank you.

Please be advised, we are still receiving medication refill requests from some patients. Dr. Dowden can no longer prescribe any medications or refills as he is no longer currently practicing or actively seeing patients. You will have to obtain a new P*P for medication refills or look into a walk in clinic. Thank you.

We would like to thank our patients for the patience and kind words received during the closure process of Lighthouse Family Medicine. As a reminder, Dr. Dowden is now no longer actively seeing patients. You may still utilize the email and facebook messenger to request your medical records until further notice.

Reminder:
Dr. Dowden's last day for virtual appointments is this FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th. If you need an appointment please send an email or message us here. After this Friday, we will no longer be able to make appointments or receive medication refill requests. All refill requests that have already been received are always forwarded directly to Dr. Dowden.
Additionally, after 9/29, our email and FB will remain active to continue receiving medical record requests. Please remember there is only one person that is processing all requests and messages.

Patients,
There will be a delay in processing medical records as the CD burner on the computer has stopped reading the discs. I am trying to resolve this as quickly as possible as I know it is important for your new providers to have your medical information! Please bear with me during this delay.

Please remember there is only ONE staff member who is working with Dr. Dowden trying to manage the schedule, answer emails, facebook messages, process medical records, help with refills, and insurance authorizations. While we aim to get back with you within 48 business hours, it is impossible to meet the expectations of every patient and we are doing our best to keep up with the high demand. Please continue to be patient and kind.
