Fort Hall Indian Health Service Federal Early Office Closure
On Monday, May 25, 2026, America remembers those who nobly died in service of our nation. For Gold Star families, Memorial Day carries a loss that endures. May we take the virtues of all our nation’s heroes and instill those qualities into our daily lives. Doing so will better our communities, help our families, and restore national greatness.
In observance of Memorial Day, the HHS Secretary has granted Indian Health Service employees an early dismissal on Friday, May 22, 2026. The Fort Hall Indian Health Service will close at 2:00 p.m. as employees will be excused from duty 3 hours prior to their normal departure time.
Please let family and friends know to pick up medications in Pharmacy or send an approved proxy (person who you have identified to receive your medications for you) before the early closure. We will be open during regular hours on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Patients can access the Shoshone-Bannock Community Health Center (HRSA Clinic) or urgent care centers nearby or if one is experiencing a medical emergency please call EMS at 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room.
If you have questions during the clinic’s closure and need to speak with a nurse, please call the IHS Nurse Advice Line at (866) 470-2015. This service is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week including holidays.
This Memorial Day, the Indian Health Service honors the Native American and Alaska Native service members and veterans who have courageously defended our nation and protected our communities through generations of military service.
We remember with gratitude those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms and liberties we cherish today. Their strength, honor, and dedication continue to inspire us all.
Use this time with intention — reflect on their legacy, reconnect with your families and communities, renew your commitment to service, and honor the enduring spirit of our military heroes.
From all of us at IHS, we wish you a meaningful, peaceful, and safe Memorial Day.
Respectfully,
Fort Hall Indian Health Service Team
