Montana Veterans,

Don’t be a No Show. Can’t Make It? Let Another Vet Take It!

What is a No Show? A "no-show" medical appointment at the VA is when a Veteran fails to attend a scheduled appointment without providing advance notice to cancel or reschedule.

What are the negative effects of being a “no show?”
• If the appointment was scheduled as the result of a consult that was placed, being a no show can lead to discontinuation of the consult and require starting the referral process over
• Also, being a no show means the VA misses out on the opportunity to schedule another veteran into your appointment slot.

So, how do you cancel your medial appointment with the VA so you don’t become a No Show?

There are several ways to cancel your appointment:

You can cancel online at www.myhealth.va.gov
• Sign in to your MyHealtheVet account
• Navigate to the "Appointments" or "MyHealtheVet" section of the site.
• Find and click on the specific appointment you wish to cancel from your upcoming appointments list.
• Look for a "View Details" or "Options" button associated with the appointment.
• Select the "Cancel Appointment" button.
• Confirm your cancellation if prompted

Don’t have a MyHealtheVet account? That’s ok. There are other ways to cancel your appointment to include:
• Contact the Montana VA Health Care System by calling 1-877-468-8387 or your local VA Clinic directly and choose option 2 to speak to scheduling.
• Or, if you receive a text message reminder for the appointment, you may be able to cancel by replying to the text message itself.

Whichever cancelation notification works best for you, please let us know if you are not able to attend your scheduled appointment.

Hey, We get it. Life Happens! -- car troubles, work, sick kids -- there are many reasons that we may not be able to make our scheduled medical appointments, but don’t Be a No Show, contact your local VA to let them know you are not able to make your appointment.

Your fellow Veterans are counting on you to notify us when you are not able to make your appointment so we can schedule them into all open appointment slots.

Thank you for not being a No Show.
