Congratulations to Kim! 🏆 Kim is a personal trainer at Buena Health & Fitness and Summit Fitness.

Over 10 years ago, Kim made a decision that would change her life. Through simple diet and exercise, she lost over 30 pounds—and more importantly, she kept it off.
Her goal wasn’t just about weight loss. She wanted to build a healthier life for herself and become someone her nieces, nephews, and others around her could look up to and be inspired by.
Fast forward to 2025… after moving to Arizona, Kim needed something to keep her mind focused and driven. That’s when she set her sights on stepping on stage at the Copper Classic.
What started as a challenge quickly became something more. She proved to herself she could do it—but she also knew she had more to give.
So she went back to work.�A full year of discipline.�A full year of growth.�A full year of leveling up.
And this time… she brought an even stronger package to the stage.

Let me introduce you to Bill. He is an employee at Summit Fitness. He is 80 years young. Works out almost everyday. This was his first bodybuilding show. He dedicated his performance in memory of his beloved wife of 30 years, Mona. 🩷 It was a joy to see him shine on the stage and inspire everyone. Tennessee Whisky.

Bill won the title of Men’s Physique Platinum Masters, 2nd in Physique Open and was awarded best performer of the night. 🏆 Great job Bill, we are so proud of you.

Spring cleaning isn’t just for your closet—your workout routine needs it too.

Here’s a quick “routine refresh” checklist to reset your goals this season:

1. **Declutter your goals**
- Toss vague goals like “get in shape.”
- Replace with clear ones:
- “Strength train 3x/week”
- “Walk 8,000+ steps/day”
- “Add 10 lb to my squat in 8 weeks”

2. **Audit your current routine**
Ask yourself:
- Am I bored?
- Am I progressing (stronger, faster, more energy, better recovery)?
- Am I skipping the same workouts every week?
Anything that’s not serving you gets adjusted, simplified, or replaced.

3. **Rebalance the “Big 4”**
A balanced routine should hit:
- **Strength** – 2–4 sessions/week
- **Cardio** – 2–4 sessions/week (mix easy + challenging days)
- **Mobility** – 5–10 minutes before or after workouts
- **Recovery** – at least 1–2 true rest or light days/week

4. **Swap in “spring” moves**
Rotate in a few new exercises to keep things fresh while keeping the basics:
- Keep: squats, hinges (deadlifts), pushes, pulls, carries
- Refresh with: sled pushes, battle ropes, hip thrusts, cable rows, farmer carries, incline walking, or interval bike work

5. **Set a 6-week focus block**
Instead of trying to do everything, pick one main focus for the next 6 weeks:
- Build strength
- Improve conditioning
- Move and feel better (mobility + core + lighter lifting)
Align your weekly plan to that focus, then reassess.

6. **Make your environment work for you**
- Schedule workouts in your calendar like appointments.
- Lay out your gym clothes the night before.
- Train where the equipment, coaching, and energy support your goals.

HIGH-PROTEIN, LOW-CARB SMOOTHIE FOR SERIOUS LIFTERS 💪

Here’s a high-protein, low-carb smoothie that actually supports your lifting, not just your sweet tooth. Blend this up post-workout or as a quick meal when you’re on the go and still committed to the work.

💥 BUENA STRENGTH SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:

* 1 scoop whey or plant protein (vanilla or chocolate)


* 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or your preferred low-carb milk)


* 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (plain, unsweetened)


* 1 tbsp natural peanut butter or almond butter


* 1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxseed


* 1/4 cup frozen berries (optional for flavor, still low carb in this amount)
