Crystal Creek Glass Columbaria

Crystal Creek Glass Columbaria We are thrilled to introduce the most significant innovation in columbaria and custom headstones in the past century.

Traditional columbaria have always been very much the same, they are capped with niche fronts made of granite, brass, or transparent glass. The only visual interest in niche fronts like these are the variations in the colors of granite. With the advance of new technology however, Crystal Creek Glass has taken what was once an austere facade and transformed it into a beautiful and highly customizable memorial. Each columbarium can now have beautiful scenes that are timeless and elegant.

“I want to be next to Mary.”

Our installers hadn’t even placed the final pieces of the columbarium when it caught the attention of a woman passing by.

She had come to visit someone else. But something in the space made her stop.

Newly installed art glass now fills Christ the King Mausoleum at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside IL with scenes of Jesus, the Holy Mother, Joseph, Paul, and the Gospel writers. Light moves through each panel, highlighting the shifting colors and bringing the imagery to life in a way that feels personal. Scripture is woven throughout the space, grounding it with a quiet sense of reverence.

She didn’t wait. She went straight to the office and reserved her space that same day.

That’s what happens when a place doesn’t just exist… but invites belonging.

Because the spaces we create should do more than hold memory.

They should draw people back.

That’s where thoughtful planning makes all the difference.

Here's how memorial gardens move from open land to places families return to again and again.

Learn how memorial garden design helps cemeteries create spaces that draw visitors in, improve land use, and support long-term planning.

Before the resurrection, there was the cross. Before the victory, there was sacrifice.

This is the depth of His love. This is Good Friday.

A defining shift in columbaria design.

With the Regal series, art glass is no longer an accent. It becomes the centerpiece, set within the structure and elevated to meet the light throughout the day. It’s a different kind of presence. One that changes how these spaces feel, not just how they look.

The first reveal, with more to come.

What is the meaning of Lent, and why do Christians pray the Stations of the Cross?

In our newest episode of The Creative Niche, Fr. Ned Brown reflects on how the Stations of the Cross invite believers to walk with Christ through the events leading to the crucifixion and prepare their hearts for Easter.

The conversation also touches on life and faith in western Ohio’s “Land of the Cross-Tipped Churches,” and even the creation of a Stations of the Cross prayer garden in Fort Recovery designed to give parishioners a place to pause and pray during Lent.

Cremation has changed the landscape, but it hasn’t changed the responsibility cemeteries carry.

As leaders look ahead, investment decisions matter more than ever. The question is no longer just how space is used, but how it performs over time.

In our latest blog, we explore why columbaria are increasingly being viewed not simply as memorial options, but as long-term cemetery investments. When thoughtfully integrated into memorial gardens, they support predictable planning, concentrated maintenance, and lasting permanence for families.

Planning for permanence requires clarity. We hope this piece adds to that conversation.
