happy international women’s day! flexing on my page for a sec because I ran a half marathon last Sunday!!!!!!!!! my first one, avg 8:43 pace and finished sub 2!!!! initially I started training with a goal of 9:15min miles (haven’t ran since grad school) and I’m impressed with how quickly running felt so natural to me again.

things I learned from this experience:

• training for some sort of athletic competition not only brought out my inner athlete (didn’t realize how much I missed her), it also kept me so motivated in OTHER aspects of life — business, nutrition, sleep, recovery
• because some days I had to allot 1-2 hours of running and training 6x/week I felt my time management skills were ON POINT
• ā€what seems impossible today will one day be your warm upā€ COULD NOT BE MORE TRUE. the first few days of training my body was crying after 3 miles. by the end of training when I had 3 miles left in my longer runs I legit thought to myself ā€œ3 miles? that’s nothingā€ šŸ§ šŸ’„

3 miles did in fact become my warm up.

after the half, I went about my week. my bsf asked if I reflected on this accomplishment and I didn’t. I just started looking towards the next project. so this is me reflecting and feeling PROUD! and hopefully inspiring you to get active because when that inner athlete comes out it feels GOOOOOD šŸ‹šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

I’ll share my rookie mistakes for fun too:
- started off way too fast, the adrenaline I think (first mile was 8:01 lol)
- drank way too much water during the race (didn’t train like that) and got the worrrrst cramp around mile 9-10, slowed me down significantly and was this šŸ¤šŸ½ close to stopping but had David Goggins in my ear and powered thru
- didn’t make a fire playlist so was skipping songs too much

it’s ok, next time 😈
happy IWD to all the amazing women out there!!!!! give yourself a pat on the back for your accomplishments, big or small! 🧔

To ā€œfeel groundedā€ is to feel present in your body and connected with the earth, time and place. When I feel grounded in health I feel alive. I mentally feel at peace, emotionally regulated, and physically stable. I feel human, I feel safe, I trust myself.

To be ā€œrootedā€ is to feel a sense of belonging, and connection. Being rooted in community should feel like a warm embrace. It should feel supportive and empowering.

will be where we empower one another, navigate challenges together, and foster a sense of connection and belonging. Where TOGETHER, we look at health holistically and think OUTSIDE the pelvis.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the last 3 years as my own clinician, is that we aren’t looking outside the pelvis enough…

What does community mean to you? How would you want a community to make you FEEL? Tell me below šŸ§”ā¬‡ļø

Of course I woke up the next morning after launch day to my logo (bordering the V) being taken down… 🤣 If that’s not on brand IDK what is am I right. Crazy what IG considers ā€œnudityā€ these days šŸ˜…

NOW you get to see the logo…. With the brand name lettering (!!!!) please HYPE HER UP. šŸ˜ HOW GORG

I’ve had this vision for to be an empowering and educational platform, while also giving off fun, romantic, and playful. I always loved educating in a fun and playful way, and from your feedback, it was that kind of content you felt was easily digested and motivational to act upon. Which truly makes me giddy 🄰!! Because that’s how I love to educate!

This next chapter, everything is all about PLAY. Let’s make pelvic health FUN again. Let’s make preventative pelvic health something to TALK ABOUT! Let’s remember how valuable our menstrual, gut and hormone health IS to our pelvic health. Let’s lean on community for support (something I’ve come to learn can’t be taken for granted).

I can’t wait for you to see what is coming Feb 15th (and it’s just the beginning… there are drops planned all year long…)!!! 🤩🤩🤩

What’s one FLOOR FRIENDLY habit you’ve incorporated into your life? What’s a FLOOR friendly piece of advice you would share with someone else, someone who had no idea what the pelvic floor even was?

Thank you for already making this brand launch so special for me, I hope to continue to make you proud!!! šŸ§”šŸ¦‹āœØšŸ’«

A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS šŸ„¹šŸ¦‹

What started off as an account to share what I learned about pelvic floor health as a student 🐣 soon blossomed into a safe space to hear your stories and experiences, and share my own…

Almost 3 years later, we have an official BRAND (!!!) and business page dedicated to pelvic health content. Say hello to š“¹š“®š“µš“暝“²š“¬ 🧔🧔🧔

On you will find valuable educational posts, EXERCISE videos for all things birth+postpartum, cycle syncing, pain relief, hormone/gut/pelvic health HABITS, and cleaner SWAPS for a thriving body + pelvic floor.

Here on you will continue to see me + my journey(s) surrounding wellness, being a pelvic PT and a future wife + mother. 🄹

The biggest thing I’ve learned is that I do not want to be put into a BOX! I am not JUST a pelvic floor therapist, I am also a 28 year old girl navigating life for the first time and excited to share along the way.

This space has become one I am truly proud to be apart of. I am proud to be able to learn and share information in the world of pelvic health, I am proud to work alongside so many in-person and online clients, you all teach me something new everyday. Thank you from the BOTTOM OF MY HEART for being here, truly.

Who’s been here since my days? šŸ‘€ if you don’t mind sharing, what made you follow along? And what’s something you’ve learned along the way?

Here’s to a new chapter together… ā¤ļøŽā‚Š ⊹
