Some days, it feels like your toddler is pushing every button…

But they’re not testing you — they’re reaching for you. 💛

When your child melts down, they borrow your calm to find their own.

And here’s the secret — a calm brain is a language-learning brain. 🧠

Connection comes before communication.
So next time big feelings hit, slow your voice, get low, and name what you see:
👉 “That was really hard.”
👉 “You didn’t like when I said no.”
👉 “I’m here.”

💬 Calm is contagious.
💬 Connection is the shortcut.

✨ Save this for the next big feeling moment — and tag a mom friend who needs this reminder.

Then come join us inside The Parent Connection Hub, where we turn everyday chaos into connection — one calm moment (and one word) at a time.

Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head ghosted us 👻… so Forky and Rex stepped in! 🤠🦖🍴

What started as a costume scramble turned into the sweetest reminder that flexibility is the real magic of parenting. 💛

Because sometimes the plans fall apart, the kids get sugar-high, and the night gets a little chaotic — but those are the moments they’ll remember most. Connection > perfection every single time. ✨

From our Toy Story to yours — wishing you a night full of laughter, candy, and just-enough chaos to make it fun.

What was your “pivot moment” this Halloween?
Drop it below 👇 so we can all laugh and relate together.

Happy Halloween from First Words to Forever™ and SHORS Rehabilitation Services LLC! 👻

As your little ones head out for trick-or-treating, here’s a gentle reminder:
Not every child uses words to say “trick or treat.”
Some might wave, smile, hold out their bucket, or simply stand quietly.
And that’s okay. 💛

Let’s make this holiday fun, safe, and inclusive for all kids — whether they communicate with words, gestures, AAC, or smiles.

And if tonight feels a little chaotic… that’s okay too. 🎃✨
Costumes, candy, skipped naps, and sugar highs — it’s all part of the memories (and maybe tomorrow’s extra coffee ☕).

Your kindness, patience, and understanding make this season brighter for every child. 🌟

Wishing you and your family a fun, safe, and joyfully chaotic Halloween!

Every mom has their own version of a haunted house. 👻

For some, it’s a skipped nap.
For others, it’s the “He’ll talk when he’s ready” comment.
No matter what your “haunted house” looks like — you’re not alone, and you don’t have to do it scared. 💛

Okay moms, what’s your version of a haunted house right now? 👀👇
