Women between the ages of 40 and 60 seems to have become my niche for patients. Maybe, because I'm one of them, I have extraordinary compassion for the most minimalized, invalidated poorly understood and treated population in Healthcare. Pediatrics and Geriatrics are specialties, but middle aged, peri and menopausal women who are not functioning optionally are marginalized by the medical profession historically. We are told there is nothing wrong when we know we don't feel right. We get suggested that perhaps it's emotional. Maybe we need an anti depressant...because they can't figure out why we are in pain, why we have headaches and belly aches, why we are tired all the time, why we have muscle weakness. Well, ladies, it's time to start going to the right doctor who is committed to figuring out the why's, and get you back to feeling and functioning your best. I'm listening. I believe you.
