As we spend time with loved ones, may we also pause to reflect on the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country.

At Broward Health, we are grateful for the veterans, service members and military family members in our community and within our own team. This Memorial Day weekend, we thank you for your service to our nation.

Recently, we celebrated Ashlee M. as our Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center Hero of the Month.

Ashlee, a young woman with autism and ADHD, has shown incredible determination and growth.

With the support of the CDTC team and the TAFT program, she has gained confidence, overcome challenges, and found a place where she feels safe and understood.

Outside of CDTC, Ashlee participates in programs at JAFCO and Arc Broward, where she has developed vocational skills, sold handmade jewelry, and was recently nominated “Social Butterfly.”

A big thank you to the volunteers from Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale for their hard work at Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center. During their Day of Service, the team organized and stocked our Bee Boutique, which provides new clothing for children up to age 10.

We are proud to work alongside community partners who help us support local families in need.
