We are at the Mayo Clinic for surgery for Makayla Meyer.

She’s been suffering for 3 years of knee pain, hip pain etc. she needs an extensive surgery in the way of pelvic reconstruction.

However, we have found an incredible doctor at Mayo that feels a different approach (less invasive) is a great start, which is fix what’s broke first, which makes sense and feels right, followed by extensive PT, and hopefully not need the other surgery.

We visited last Thursday. I called Friday morning to say yes, we want to proceed with the arthroscopic portion of her surgery asap, so she has the summer to heal. He didn’t have anything until Aug!

I hung up, said a prayer and said well, I’m confident I did my part, no the rest is in Gods hands. 10 minutes later, the phone rang. It was Dr Gardners other surgical doctor. She said, Dr Gardner just had a cancelation for Tuesday, and he said call the Meyer family immediately and see if we can get Makayla taken care of asap.

It’s been fast and furious and slightly overwhelming. However, we are very confident that we are in the right place, with the right team in place, and it’s all being directed by God. we just have to practice patience, trust in the process, and faith over fear.

Please pray for our baby girl to have a successful surgery and smooth recovery, and for us to just have faith over fear and all will be well.

When I start my day with this prayer, I usually have a pretty good day and feel grounded.

When life happens, and might get angered or frustrated, I try to make a gratitude list.
(Gratitude and fear/EGO don’t usually play well together:)

If things are going smoothly, I’m greatful and recognize it’s the right road to take.

However, if it’s complicated-
I can now recognize (most of the time lol:) that there is EGO involved. Either my own or someone’s else’s.
