Every day Jason returns home from his day program, he has a clear goal: keep his shirt safe and intact. If he does, he earns a dino sticker, verbal praise like “You’re a Dino Hero today!”, and he’s one step closer to a bigger reward. 🎉

💜 Today, We Honored. Today, We Served. 💜

This morning at Community Court with the in Fort Lauderdale, Ready for the World, LLC successfully completed our Hygiene Distribution Event — and our hearts are so full.

Today was extra special as we celebrated the birthday of , beloved daughter of our CEO, Brenda Williams. Though Kelby passed away from in March 2020, her spirit of love and compassion lives on in everything we do.

Because of our amazing volunteers, supporters, and partners, we were able to distribute essential hygiene kits to individuals and families in need — helping restore dignity, hope, and healing.

Thank you to everyone who made today possible! Together, we’re keeping Kelby’s legacy alive and showing what it truly means to be Ready for the World. 💜

As a member of the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Homeless Advisory Board and the Founder of Ready for the World LLC, we’re honored to lead efforts that turn compassion into action and prioritize dignity and wellness for all.

Hygiene kits are more than supplies — they help prevent illness, promote personal care, and support public health for those most vulnerable in our community. When we address basic needs, we uplift the entire community.

🌎 Supporting Our Community: Our Commitment to Giving Back🌎

At Ready For The World, LLC, we believe in the power of community and mutual support. Recently, Linda Hurst and her family faced a challenging ordeal when their Fort Lauderdale home erupted in flames following a family cookout. Louise Snell, 89 years old, was among those affected. The Hurst family has been a part of our journey, trusting us to care for their children over the years.

During these difficult times, we’re deeply grateful for the trust the Hurst family has placed in us. Now, it’s our privilege to give back. We’re proud to contribute to their recovery efforts and support Louise Snell, Linda Hurst, and their family in rebuilding their lives.

Meet Jason! Jason benefits from our specialized services at Ready for the World, LLC, including Life Skills Development and Companion care. He loves dinosaurs 🦕 and prefers the comfort of home. To gently encourage Jason to join us for community outings, we integrated his favorite toy into our strategy. Placing dinosaurs in various spots at the park sparked Jason’s excitement and curiosity, leading to successful outings and more adventures ahead!

Our approach combines teaching practical skills for independence with compassionate non-medical care and socialization activities.

Community Court is Florida’s first problem-solving court for people experiencing homelessness or hardship who are charged with non-violent municipal or misdemeanor offenses.
Rather than sending individuals through a cycle of jail and release, the court connects them to services and stability.
