We are dedicated to serving our Individual with Developmental Disabilities. We are here to help you and the people with special needs in your life.

We think of RFTW as the central address for people seeking help with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are located in Florida, but our clients come from all over the US. At RFTW, we specialize in helping extraordinary people lead ordinary lives. What does that mean? It means every child, every adult, should know the joy of friendship, the satisfaction of doing work that is valued, and the comfort of being a loved and important member of a community. For us it starts with a simple philosophy: we carry a sense of responsibility to be the voice of people who don’t have a voice that is heard, to be the advocate for people who are unable to advocate for themselves. Our goal is not only to be voices and advocates, but more importantly, to assist our clients in using their collective voices and becoming their own advocates. Our programs include residential homes, community case management, and employment training. Through everything we do, we are developing life skills and growing friendships. ❤️ Today’s Impact • • Youth Conversation

Today was powerful.

I had the opportunity to speak with an amazing group of young women-the Deerfield Beach High School Girls Flag Football Team during their after-school -Speak Out Club session.

This experience was made possible through the impactful work of
🔥 Be a Champion for HIV/AIDS — an organization that has been consistently creating space for awareness, education, and real conversations for over 9 years.

I want to sincerely thank , Founder, for the invitation and for his dedication to this mission. What he has built is more than a club it’s a movement that continues to reach and empower youth year after year.

What stood out the most today wasn’t just the conversation…
it was the honesty, the engagement, and the willingness of these young ladies to think beyond what they’ve been told.

We didn’t just talk about HIV/AIDS
we talked about real life.

We talked about:
• How decisions are made in moments
• How lack of information can impact your future
• How stigma keeps people silent
• And how education empowers you to protect yourself

At Ready for the World, LLC, our mission is simple:
End the stigma by educating our youth.

Because the truth is
what young people don’t know can still affect them.

At Ready for the World, we believe education saves lives.
Especially when it comes to our youth and teens and the reality of HIV prevention.

We know these conversations aren’t always easy at home…
But silence doesn’t protect our children—education does.

Too often, parents and guardians know their teens are becoming sexually active, yet they avoid buying condoms or taking them for testing because they feel it encourages the behavior.
Instead, the focus becomes only on preventing pregnancy…
while ignoring protection from HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.

But the truth is this:
Prevention starts at home.
Awareness starts with us.
Protection starts with education.

Here in Florida, HIV remains a serious public-health concern.
• In 2022, Florida reported 4,606 new HIV diagnoses.
• More than 50,000 people are living with HIV in Miami-Dade and Broward counties combined, showing how deeply this impacts our South Florida community.
• Broward County alone has had over 21,000 residents living with HIV in recent surveillance reports.

These are not just numbers…
These are our neighbors, our families, and sometimes our youth.

That’s why we encourage every parent and guardian:

✔ Have the conversation early.
✔ Provide protection without shame.
✔ Take your children for free, confidential HIV/STI testing.
✔ Teach them that knowing their status is an act of strength—not fear.

At Ready for the World, LLC, our work goes beyond one lane it’s a full circle of care, advocacy, and empowerment across Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

This year, our team remained committed to delivering comprehensive support that meets people where they are and uplifts them through every step of their journey.

• Provided in-home, respite, and personal care services for individuals with developmental disabilities
• Supported families with APD navigation & service approvals through our Family Support Program
• Reached youth with HIV prevention, health education & life skills workshops
• Served our community through homeless outreach & hygiene drives
• Helped veterans through housing referrals and case management
• Sponsored Born on Purpose Brunch, uplifting healing & youth empowerment
• Connected with over 2,000 families during Children’s Day at NSU
• Gave joy to families with our Annual Christmas Toy Drive
• Provided college scholarships and emergency relief to those in need
• Represented small businesses proudly as a City of Fort Lauderdale Pitch Winner
• Continued to grow through mentorship and networking at the Levan Center of Innovation
