I haven’t posted stroke thrombectomy selfies for a long time. Here is one from yesterday, with a new team. Basilar artery clot, occluding cerebellar arteries and causing severe dysarthria and ataxia. The clot was removed with a Sofia 6Fr aspiration catheter. Groin to reperfusion 14 minutes. Wire was used to access the right vertebral artery with a Neuron Max but from there no wire used with the Sofia. TICI-3. This morning the patient is back to normal.

Successful embolization of a Spetzler-Martin grade 1 right frontal AVM featuring a large venous aneurysm and a smaller intranidal aneurysm, with ONYX-34.

One procedure.
One catheter.
One injection.
100% occlusion.
No complications.
The patient went home the next day.
