In 2003, Ed Gonzalez negotiated the sale of MarCom Technologies to SR. Teleperformance, the world's largest call center operator with 195,000 stations generating more than $3 billion in annual revenue. Shortly after the sale of MarCom, Ed opened GMS CONNECT. Many of the executives and managers who worked with Ed over a 25 year period, are still working with him today at GMS CONNECT. Starting January 1, 2025, Medicare will implement a $2,000 out-of-pocket cap on prescription drug costs under Medicare Part D plans. This cap is expected to save 19 million Americans an average of $400 annually, providing significant financial relief, especially for seniors with high medication costs.

Key Details:

Who’s Covered: All Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage plan enrollees.
Donut Hole Eliminated: The previous coverage gap, known as the “donut hole,” ends December 31, 2024.

Included Costs: Deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance for drugs in the plan’s formulary are covered, but premiums and Medicare Part B drugs are excluded.

Automatic Enrollment: No need to sign up—cost tracking and cap application will be automatic.

Plan Review Recommended: Beneficiaries should review their plans annually during open enrollment to ensure the best coverage.

This policy, part of the Inflation Reduction Act, aims to make healthcare more affordable and predictable for seniors.
