Vincent Burke is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and medical director of the Joint Replacement Center at Broward General Medical Center. He specializes in hip and knee replacement, including complex primary surgeries as well as revision of failed hip and knee replacements. Dr. Burke received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to entering the field of medicine, he was involved in automotive safety research for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. He later attended the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Burke completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Miami. He then pursued advanced training with a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive surgery at the renowned Anderson Clinic in Alexandria, VA. Upon completion of his training, he returned to the University of Miami as the Director of Joint Replacement and Reconstruction. In 2006, Dr Burke relocated to Fort Lauderdale to create the Joint Replacement Center at Broward General Medical Center. An active fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Dr. Burke has lectured nationally and internationally on many topics regarding joint replacement. He continues to be involved in the development of implants, instrumentation, and advanced surgical techniques to promote longer lasting joint replacements and more rapid surgical recovery.
