🤗 Our goal is to make it easy for your kids to build lifelong dental habits. When children feel comfortable at the dentist and learn how to care for their teeth early, those habits stick with them for life!

🤔 What career path do YOU envision for yourself when you grow up? 👮‍♀️👩‍⚕️🧑🏽‍🚒

Ever since I was a little child, I've been certain that I wanted to work with children. Education runs deep in my family - from my sister and mother to my aunts and cousins.

The passion for working with children flows through my veins!

🚑 However, my heart also yearned for a medical profession. I aspired to contribute to people's well-being. 🪥❤️

So, I made the decision to pursue dentistry AND specialize in pediatric care! It's incredibly rewarding!

One of my favorite parts of being a dentist is becoming part of my patients’ families. 💕

🌟 I get to see them as babies, celebrating their first teeth.
🌟 Starting school, heading off to their first camp.
🌟 Getting braces, then seeing their joy when those braces come off!
🌟 Graduating high school, going to prom, and eventually heading to college.

It’s so special to watch my patients grow through all the stages of their lives. I often think back to when they first came to see me—how they might have been shy, nervous, or even a little scared. And now, here they are, confident young adults!

What I love most about being a dentist is the deep connection I feel with my patients and their families. 💕

A mom recently shared that she feels like she needs to APOLOGIZE every time she takes her kids anywhere—because they’re noisy or want to run around.

Let me tell you this: ALL kids are welcome at Journey Kids Dental!
Think about a playground—what do you hear? Laughter, screaming, kids playing, and having fun. It’s not quiet or calm, and that’s completely normal. Kids are kids!

Journey Kids Dental is a space for everyone, just as they are.

✨ Children with wheelchairs or behavior challenges.
✨ Children with facial or physical disabilities.

Professionals who specialize in working with children—teachers, pediatricians, nurses, care providers, and pediatric dentists—see kids every day. We understand their unique needs and know how to make them feel comfortable.

🎈 A pediatric dental office is designed with kids in mind. From Disney movies to bubbles and balloons, everything is tailored to create a space where kids feel at ease.

🎵 The music is kid-friendly, there’s room to play, and the atmosphere is all about letting kids be kids.

👉👉👉 Just like you wouldn’t send your elementary school child to college, why take them to a dentist who primarily works with adults?

⁉️ 🦷 What if my child refuses treatment?

The most important thing is NOT to DISMISS how they’re feeling.

If I have a patient who is refusing treatment, I get to their level and acknowledge how they’re feeling.

Because I completely understand.

I know it feels super weird. It smells weird. It sounds weird. I don't like it either. But we have to get it done.

The first step is to gain their trust.

Explain what we’re doing and why we’re doing it.
Don’t spring anything on them.
Let them touch the equipment and get used to it.
Give them their favorite toy or a cozy blanket or a great show on TV.

Acknowledge their feelings. Be empathetic. When they realize we understand how they feel and we’re really listening to them, we gain their trust.

And then we do the thing as efficiently as possible and reward them afterward 💕

🤗 If you’re worrying about bringing your child to the dentist, come and meet us. It’s our aim to make both you and your child comfortable and welcome.

💕🦷✨ My goal is for every child to feel truly comfortable when they come to the dentist. This passion comes from my own experience as a child…

When I was 6, I needed a mouth x-ray. My parents weren’t allowed in the room with me, and I remember feeling scared and alone. I was crying, and they held me down to get it done.

I want you to know—at our practice, we will NEVER force a child to undergo treatment. That’s not how we work.

Before we begin anything, we make sure your child feels safe and comfortable.

💕 We involve your child through a gentle show-and-tell, letting them hold tools and hear sounds beforehand.
💕 We avoid intimidating language, using simple words that help them understand.
💕 We make the environment as fun or distracting as they need—whatever helps them feel at ease.

My greatest wish is that every child who visits our practice leaves feeling happy and secure.

Let’s make bad dental experiences a thing of the past.
