🎉💼 It’s our practice administrator’s birthday and yes—she’s still running the show (but with cake this time)! From juggling schedules and managing chaos with calm, to making sure our whole team shines—Tina’s the master of logistics and the queen of multitasking. 💛We don’t know how she does it, but we’re so glad she does. Happiest birthday Tina! 🥳💛

We’re feeling all the feels this back-to-school season as some of our earliest Signature babies are now heading off to school! 🥹💛
Watching these little ones grow up—after seeing their tiny profiles on ultrasound—is the ultimate reminder of why we do what we do.

Class is in session! 🎓📚
As a Clinical Associate Professor at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at FIU, I recently had the privilege of teaching one of my favorite lectures—Physiologic Adaptations in Pregnancy—to an incredible group of future physicians.
Pregnancy is an extraordinary physiologic journey, and it’s an honor to help students understand not just the science, but the clinical significance behind every system shift, every adaptation, and every decision we make in maternal care.
Lecturing continues to ground me in why I do what I do—as an educator, maternal-fetal medicine specialist, and advocate for the future of medicine.
Representation, mentorship, and evidence-based education matter.
And I’m proud to play a part in shaping the next generation of physicians.

Cervical cerclage is a medical procedure used to prevent premature birth or miscarriage in women who have a weak or incompetent cervix. This condition, known as cervical insufficiency, occurs when the cervix is unable to stay closed under the pressure of a growing pregnancy. During the procedure, a doctor places stitches (usually a strong suture) around the cervix to reinforce it and help keep it closed.

Cervical cerclage is typically recommended for women with a history of cervical insufficiency or those who have experienced mid-pregnancy losses or very preterm births. The procedure is often performed between weeks 12 and 14 of pregnancy and is usually removed a few weeks before the due date unless an earlier delivery is necessary.
