When most patients hear the phrase “nipple-sparing” they think mastectomy. When most patients hear the phrase “nipple-sparing,” they think mastectomy.

But nipple-sparing techniques are used across many breast procedures, not just cancer reconstruction.

From nipple-sparing mastectomy with reconstruction, to breast lifts, breast reductions, implant revisions, preserving the nipple-areola complex is important to both aesthetics and sensation.

Most women don’t choose a breast implant exchange because something is “wrong.”

They do it because their body, lifestyle, or preferences have changed.

Common reasons we hear are:
• Implants feel too large or too heavy
• Tastes shift toward a more natural look
• Pregnancy, weight changes, or time altered the shape
• One side no longer matches the other
• They want breasts that look as good out of clothing as they do in a bra
