Try listening to something calming when overwhelmed—or energizing when you feel low. Sound can be a powerful form of self-care.

Today’s skill… opposite action!

When your feelings tell you to withdraw, cancel, or shut down, try one small opposite step — send the text, take the walk, show up for five minutes.

You don’t have to feel ready to move forward. Sometimes action comes first.

And if you need support along the way, asking for help counts as strength.

Today’s mental health skill: Name it to tame it.

When a feeling starts to overwhelm you, try quietly naming it:
“This is anxiety.”
“This is sadness.”
“This is stress.”

Labeling what you’re feeling helps calm the nervous system and gives you a little space to breathe.

And if it feels like too much, it’s okay to ask for help.
You don’t have to carry it alone.

If your mind says, “I can’t handle this,” try a CBT reframe:

“I’m having the thought that I can’t handle this… and I’m still here.”

Pause. Breathe. Check the facts.

And if you need support, ask for it — strong people reach out, too. 💛
