Many people are finding that they are more anxious during covid. I would like people to take normal precautions, masks, distancing, hand washing, and stop worrying. We have to accept that life will be different for a long while...but eventually we will return to normal. We need to all practice a spiritual kind of joining together, caring for each other and being more compassionate and forgiving.

Whenever you are in a tough situation, remember Yogi Berra. Someone asked him, " hey Yogi what time is it?" He answered, " you mean right now?" Anxiety is about the future, depression is about the past. Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present!

I started the center in the 1980s. I integrate, prayer and meditation into the healing process. I believe each person is unique and invent a new therapy for each person. I am also a professor at Columbia University, and the author of 3 books. The most recent is, The Great Cosmic Lesson Plan: healing through spirituality, humor and music.
