About our Practice

The Advanced Cardiology Institute - HUMC Cardiovascular Partners is dedicated to providing the people of Bergen County with the highest caliber and most personalized care available in the field of Cardiology. All members of our staff are board certified, each having received his or her formal training at renowned New York institutions. Great pride is taken in the diversity of the practice. Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, Invasive Cardiology and the treatment of Heart Failure are among our primary specialties.

An on-site state of the art center for Cardiac Diagnostics allows the Physicians to meet all of the treatment needs of our community of patients under one roof. The Institute is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and enthusiastically supports and participates in its mission to influence health care policy and its advocacy of quality cardiovascular care through education, research promotion, development and application of standards and guidelines.

In addition to its primary specialties, the practice takes a special interest in Women’s Cardiac Health, Lipid Management and Preventive Cardiology.

The distinguished doctors of the Advanced Cardiology Institute are Walter Berkowitz, Howard Rothman, Nate Lebowitz, Jacqueline Hollywood, Diane Zanger, Steve Kim and Tatiana Krasikov and Jason Sayanlar.

Diagnostics: The Center for Cardiac Diagnostics is the section of Advanced Cardiology Institute that accommodates all of the diagnostic needs of our patients. We are equipped to perform:

• Nuclear Stress Testing • Echocardiography • Chest X-Ray • ECG • Carotid Ultrasound • Holter Monitoring • Blood Pressure Monitoring • Pacemaker Interrogation

We offer the comfort and convenience of an office setting combined with the technical and professional components of a hospital setting as well as a Laboratory Draw Station (please call to set up your appointment)

Our Staff: You will find a patient and caring medical and administrative staff at ACI, ready to give you the high-quality patient care you expect before, during and after your visit to our office. When you have your health to think about, the process of receiving medical care can seem difficult and complex.

Our staff can help you... Understand your diagnosis and treatment options - Manage your insurance claims and referrals - Answer any questions you may have regarding your cardiovascular health and the patient care.

Whether you are a current or a prospective patient, please feel free to give us a call for more information about our staff and services. We accept most insurance plans, HMO/PPO's and Medicare/Medicaid. We understand the increasing complexity of insurance requirements and claim procedures and will assist you in processing your claims. Please check with your insurance carrier to verify coverage.

We participate with the following insurance carriers and request that you present the appropriate referral and co-pay when indicated:
