Over the past 18 years we've had our hands on some of the best and some of the worst horses in the country. From World Champions to a few known as "Killer" and "Alpo" (for a reason). Yes I love working on the Elite World Champion Athletes, but some of my favorites are the ones who were the worst, unsellable, please help me horses! So yes, I still say bring me your problem horses. Let's see what we can fix.

HORSEPOWER CHALLENGE! Bring me your "Problem horses" I want to see the ones who buck, rear, kick, run off, can't catch, refuse to go in the arena, won't turn a barrel, won't pick up a lead, or just mean and nasty bad attitude.... or anything else!

Before you get mad, or give up, or buy a bigger bit, or try to "train" it out of them... give us a chance. These horses are just trying to tell you something. Usually with a little bodywork, saddlefitting, and lots of patience and understanding we can figure out what it is... and once "we" get that understanding you might be amazed at how nice your horse can be when he feels good and is happy!

Help!

With rising costs of everything... we are doing our best to keep our prices affordable so we can continue to help horses and cover Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

We can't afford to travel for just 1-2 horses! So you can help by sharing us with your friends and help us spread the word when we are coming to your area!

We hate to say no! We want to continue to be there when you need us. We don't want to raise prices to do that.

Ok, I've been mistaken... Saddle fitting and shims is NOT easy. And it's NOT easy to explain over the phone or Facebook.
Every horse is different. You can make a mess and make your horse more sore by trying to do it yourself! So I highly recommend you let us help you in person! Once we've shown you on your horse, you'll understand.
But for y'all who think you can do it yourself, here's some photos and notes hopefully will help.
Remember!!...
* You can't sit on the bones!
* Don't waste money on a pad with buildups, they're probably in the wrong place for your horse.
* Don't buy a saddle for an unhealthy back.
* We TRY to help you use what you've already got to get you by and give you specific homework to build a healthy topline before you invest in a new saddle or pad.
* Trees can be crooked, even when brand new.
* Backs can be different from one side to the other
* Posture when standing vs in motion can effect saddle fit.
* Backs can be different when they're show fit, then have a month off enough that the saddle doesn't fit!
* Shims are temporary and must be monitored as the back changes so must the shims. Always check for dry spots or soreness after each ride.
* I'd rather your saddle be too wide than too narrow... But I'd much rather it fit perfectly and your horse's back be strong and healthy, in which case you wouldn't need to be reading this post! :)

"Ignorance is bliss!"...
Remember the good ole days when our horses didn't need maintenance?
When they couldn't pick up one lead, but we could MAKE 'em!
When we couldn't feel the saddle hitting us in one hip!
When we thought they just didn't like that lead, or backing straight, or cocking their head a little was normal....
It makes me so proud of y'all when you "feel stuff"

FAQ: How often should I have Horsepower recheck my horse?
* Well, that depends on the horse... how they take care of themselves... how rough they play... how hard they work... if they have any chronic problems that need maintenance...and if you do your "homework"
* The "homework" is the key to your success... If you do it, #1 they won't need us as often and #2 you'll know when they do.
* If you're competing every weekend, then we recommend a recheck once a month... this gives you the peace of mind that they will be ready when you pay your entry fees! And then you don't have to find out the hard way, you should have called us sooner.
* And especially before a big show, with big entry fees! We're just an extra bullet in your gun... lol... don't go half loaded.
* After time off... yes, they do more silly stuff to themselves out in the pasture than when you're riding regularly.
* Most importantly ... after you get familiar with "what GOOD feels like" then you'll know when any little thing is off!
* The success of our business is based on your referrals. We want your horse to feel as close to perfect as possible, as much as possible. We don't want to keep doing the same things with the same horse over and over!! We want to see you and your horse be A GREAT TEAM and then you can refer all your friends to us... and the happy horsemanship is shared!
