10 Things That Happen When You Don't Move Your Body
• You might become constipated or “backed up” (which we all know is extremely uncomfortable).
• Your joints may feel stiff and achy.
• You might have an ever-fluctuating mood or become easily irritated.
• You may struggle to walk up a flight of stairs without being winded or out of breath.

When you eat your first meal of the day could say more about your health than you realize. A new study found that people who ate breakfast later in the morning were slightly more likely to die early compared to those who ate earlier. Older adults who delayed breakfast also had more health problems, including depression, fatigue, dental issues, and poor sleep.

Researchers believe meal timing affects the body’s internal clock, metabolism, and even long-term survival. Each additional hour of delayed breakfast was tied to an 11% higher risk of death during the study period. While the increase was modest, experts say breakfast timing could be a simple marker of overall health in older adults.

Past research also shows that early breakfasts support heart health, blood sugar control, and weight management. While more studies are needed, these findings add weight to the idea that breakfast really is the most important meal of the day — especially for older adults.

We spend so much time noticing where we fall short that it's easy to overlook the qualities that come naturally to us. Yet these strengths are often the very things other people admire, rely on, or are quietly grateful for. The things that feel effortless or second nature are frequently our greatest abilities, yet we dismiss them as ordinary. Taking a moment to acknowledge what you're good at isn't about ego. It's about recognizing the value you bring into the lives of others and the foundation it gives you in your own.

Zinc is a nutrient that is very important for healthy hormones, healthy cell tissue and a strong immune system. It is needed to decrease inflammation, suppress abnormal tissue growth, reduce risk of cancer, support Progesterone production which is essential for balancing Estrogen and to boost the immune system function.

How will you know if you have a Zinc deficiency? Check out the list of deficiency symptoms:
Abnormal hair loss
Breast or Prostate cancer
Frequent colds and flu
Infertility
Insomnia
Leaky Gut Syndrome
Loss of Appetite
Loss of Energy
Loss of Libido
Loss of Taste and Smell
Lowered Immunity
Poor Memory
Sinus Problems and Allergies
Skin Rashes/Eczema

When you are stressed, you use up Zinc at a faster rate. So, try to include some high Zinc foods in your daily diet:
Almonds, Asparagus, Cacao/Dark Chocolate, Cashews, Chicken, Grass Fed Dairy, Oysters, Pumpkin Seeds, Red Meat, Salmon, Spinach, and Watermelon Seeds.

TOPIC: Gluten Sensitivity

Most people associate Gluten Sensitivity with Celiac Disease but that is not necessarily true.
Gluten can affect your brain as mental fatigue, a foggy feeling or forgetfulness. But that is not
all, Gluten can trigger ADHD, Anxiety and Depression including panic attacks, schizophrenia and
bipolar disorder. Don’t forget headaches and migraines, aching joints and muscles, skin rashes,
eczema, anemia, and nutrient deficiencies.

The long-term effects of gluten include autoimmune thyroid disease, autoimmune diseases such as
lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and diabetes, osteoporosis, infertility and hormonal imbalances,
neuropathy, cognitive decline , as well as neurological disorders such as epilepsy and ALS.
One study found that nearly 60% of people with unexplained neurological symptoms tested positive for
Anti-gliadin antibodies (Gluten).

What can you do? I suggest a 30-day Gluten Free diet program. Also, before starting the plan, do a Liver
Detox for a day or two. During the 30 days, take note of how you feel, differences in everyday behavior and
you may be very happy with the outcome. Paul and I did this years ago and we are healthier and happier as a result.
Paul and I have continued to be Gluten Free for 95% of our meals. There are always the times when you
can’t control the food such as family holidays and a restaurant setting. The answer is to go right back to
the gluten free plan as soon as possible.

There are many Gluten Free Foods available and you have also been provided with recipes that are Gluten
Free. If you need to discuss this further or need a plan to follow, call me and we can work something out.

Recently I completed an educational course on Strategies to Improve Blood Sugar. Updates of this nature are so important considering the epidemic of Diabetes that we must deal with today.
This was presented by Dr. Brian Mowll, who is a Diabetic Coach. He noted the
Seven Most Common Diabetic Mistakes, and I want to share them with you.
Mistake #1. Relying too much on medication and conventional medical care. MD gives you a drug and tells you to change your lifestyle. (No diet
information)
Mistake #2. Assuming that it's all about diet and exercise.
You have to fix the underlying complex chronic issues.
Mistake #3. Continuing to snack.
Snacking short circuits your ability to regulate your blood sugar.
Mistake #4 Overconsuming energy
If you eat too many energy dense foods, you can't burn stored energy in the muscles and liver.
Mistake #5 Not checking your blood sugar properly.
It is recommended to complete the first test 30 minutes after rising in the morning before eating and the second before dinner.
Mistake #6 Trying a one size fits all approach or chasing trends.
Custom planning is very important to your individual success.
Mistake #7 Attempting to fix diabetes or high blood sugar on your own. You need a professional for this guidance, support, and accountability.

Dr. Mowll is completely correct. Since I began writing Personalized
Lifestyle Programs, I have been astounded at the level of success my patients have experiences. If you need help with Diabetes or any other health issue, get in touch and let's discuss your options.
