Hello folks...I'm not in my guise as your Fall Harvest Car Show photographer nor am I in my "civilian" guise...I am speaking to you as Dr. Kallsen. I wanted to inform everyone that I will be out of the office Saturday and Sunday, August 30th and 31st and Monday (Labor Day), September 1st.
So...Drivers, look at your short form cards. If you are due this week and haven't called yet or if you are due on Saturday, Sunday or Monday for your CDL Physical, give me a call at 970-867-8001 or 970-370-3506 and I will get you in. Patients...if you need care before the last holiday weekend of the summer (or after :-)), give me a call at 970-867-8001 or 970-370-3506 and I will get you in.

I can be reached at those numbers anytime. I love taking care of people...and my drivers and patients know that...and I will continue to do so!

Blessed Sunday to you all!

Dr. Kallsen again...I'm letting you all know that I'm taking an extended 4th of July weekend this year. Since I'm normally closed on the 4th and the 4th falls on a Friday, I will be gone on Thursday the 3rd and Monday and Tuesday, the 7th and 8th.
So, if you're needing care, please call in at 970-867-8001 or 970-370-3506 today, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. My hours will be:
Monday: 9:00 - 6:00
Tuesday: 9:00 - 5:00
Wednesday: 9:00 - 5:00

To my Drivers and/or employers/family of drivers: PLEASE CHECK your health card. Under this new F.M.C.S.A. system, they like you to come in a day or two EARLY. I WILL be calling you today, tomorrow and Tuesday to get you in but I don't want to miss anybody...especially my one year drivers...so please check your cards.

To my drivers AND my employers with drivers and patients who have family members...or who employ those...who are drivers: the FMCSA made this a rule in 2023. It was taught to us during my RE-CERTIFICATION CLASS last year. It was the result of fatalities that could lay the blame...sometimes partially, sometimes fully...on this:

"To have your CDL, you must be able to speak and read English at a sufficient level. Sufficient is defined as speaking and reading English well enough to converse with the general public, understand traffic signs and highway signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make reports and records in English."

I just turned down another driver this morning because of this fact.

4th of July week! Always a little different when the 4th lands on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday but let's see what we can do.
Open Monday until 6. Have 2 spots open.
Open Tuesday until 5. Spots open.
Open Wednesday until 6. Spots open.
CLOSED Thursday the 4th.
Open Friday but it is filling up so if you need care before the long holiday weekend, please call!
Drivers/Employers: check those CDL Cards...if you are due on the 5th, 6th or 7th I will do all I can to accomodate you.

DRIVERS BE AWARE! I just spoke with Rose at the D.M.V. and their office will be CLOSED on the 4th AND 5th and of course, through the weekend.

Well, today is April 30th, 2024. 41 years ago this month...April 1983...I received my license from the state after passing National and State Boards. I started in practice alongside my father. 2 years later he was gone and I made the decision to stay here and raise my kids in the town I grew up in. In my 41 years of practice, I've had some really interesting cases...
exciting, maddening, frustrating, perplexing. I've had to build my practice a couple of times. But I never had one that made me question my purpose of trying to get people WELL. That counts...

Now, I have 9 years left. My practice has changed...I am still seeing people I saw 41 years ago. I still take on new cases. I do a lot of CDL Physicals. I'm still learning...Healthcare of ANY sort IS a practice and you are always learning.

So to ALL my patients:: THANK YOU for these 41 years. With your help, we'll keep the clinic going right up til 2033 and then? We'll see 😉.

My CDL Drivers...There are some of you from April I've called and haven't been able to reach. There are some due in May that I haven't contacted yet. PLEASE check your health cards and call me at 970-867-8001 or 970-370-3506 and I'll get you done.

I hope everyone had a HAPPY St. Pat's day and enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL 1st day of SPRING we had on Tuesday!

I wanted to let CDL Drivers whose health cards are due today, Friday, Saturday or Sunday that I will be attending/teaching a class this weekend on the Cercial Spine. If your Health Card is due, give me a call as I do have some openings available. I'll also be trying to call you.

It's been a busy week! To my patients and drivers: I am open today until 5 and do have 3 or 4 openings this afternoon between 1 and 4. If you want to feel better for the holidays, then give me a call! Drivers...take a look at your Health Cards. IF you are due between now and the 26th, give me a call and I'll get you in.

I will be closed from the 23rd until Noon on the 26th. However if you need care or a C-D-L, I will be available...by appointment...tomorrow until 1.
