One of our favorite manatee encounters in 2019. We saw 7 manatees traveling together durning mating season. So thankful for 7 amazing years of giving tours and lessons in Fort Myers Beach and at Dog Beach 🐋💙. Seven years, countless paddles, and a couple of unforgettable manatee moments 🐾💦. From our adventures with Sea Dog Paddle in Fort Myers Beach, here are two of our favorites.

This teenage manatee was flirting with me! Priceless moments...

Another encounter I’ll never forget—the granddaddy of all manatees gliding through Matanzas Pass. He was as wide—or wider—than two paddle boards, his tail split many times, barnacles living on his back. It all happened so fast, and I was completely in the moment, unable to capture a video. He never surfaced again—just that one breathtaking moment in front of me. Like a manatee the size of an elephant… which makes sense, since they’re distant relatives. 🐋💙

🌊🚀 Meet my friend Katniss – the fastest women’s sprint paddleboarder in the world! She’s training hard and raising funds to represent on the world stage at the World Championships in Dubai next year.

I had the honor of traveling with her recently in Michigan where she raced alongside the SS Badger car ferry – pure grit and determination in action. 🏄‍♀️💨

Checking on how summer is going. Sheree Lincoln has been spending some time paddling on Lake Michigan. Big water, no sharks. Wishing there were dolphins! We hope you are all had a great summer.

If anyone needs to get WPA certified, to teach paddle boarding, this fall private, on the water certification classes and rescue training sessions can be scheduled with Sheree the month of November at Bonita Dog Beach in Fort Myers Beach. Thank You for 7 Amazing Years of Paddle Boarding Adventures! To everyone who joined me with Sea Dog Eco Tours—thank you for an unforgettable 7 years of sunsets, dolphins, and shared memories on the waters of Fort Myers Beach, Bonita Springs Dog Beach and beyond. 4 hurricanes have changed my path. It was so fabulous being in the moment with all of you and introducing so many people to paddle boarding; setting you all up for success on your next paddling adventures!

While my tours have come to a close, I will continue to the mission to certify World Paddle Association (WPA) Instructor Certifications, rescue training, and private SUP coaching.

I will be offering select dates during my summer's in Michigan for my SUP sessions, as well at other destinations by request (or wherever my travels take me. If you’re in Naples and still want a paddle boarding adventure, I’m happy to connect you with my friend Jodi, Jodi Ziajka who offers private tours and SUP yoga by reservation through her company Buddha Voodoo Yoga.
