Dr. A. Aurora Badia opened Florida Skin Center (“FSC”) in Ft. Myers, Florida in July 2001, just after completing her dermatology training in Albany, New York. For the past 18 years, she has developed the practice to be a full service dermatology center, offering state of the art technology and amenities to her guests. Under her leadership FSC has opened four additional 5- star facilities in Cape Coral (2013), Lehigh Acres (2016) and Punta Gorda (2018)!
Florida Skin Center has been selected as one of Florida Trend’s ‘Best 2017, 2018 and 2019 Companies to Work for in Florida.’ under the ‘Best SMALL and MIDSIZE Companies’ category. Florida Skin Center competed for the honor against hundreds of businesses in the State of Florida. FSC is the winner of the “2019 Best Dermatology Practice in Cape Coral, Florida” for our Cape Coral facility, and the “2019 Best of Southwest Florida” for our Ft. Myers, Florida office. In fact, FSC’s offices have been consistently named among the best dermatology centers from 2013- 2019 by our respective communities’ public opinion polls.
In October of 2019, FSC was named the largest provider of free skin checks in the nation by Neutrogena and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. We provided over 1,800 skin checks, as part of our permanent program where guests can visit any office and schedule a completely free examination at any time.
Our guests have recognized our focus on their medical results, and they have given us over 1,200 reviews on Google and Zoc-Doc that average 4.7 stars, and we are humbled by their recognition and respect for our services. But even with this growth and success we still feature same day and same week appointments in all of the communities we serve.
