My journey to audiology began at UMass when I took ‘introduction to audiology’ to fulfill a science requirement in the special education department. I never went back. As a native New Yorker, I went home and was blessed to be accepted into the Masters program at Brooklyn College. There I met two of my best friends, one of whom would eventually become my husband about 7 years later ❤️
I left New York for a dream job at a very well-known neurotology facility in Sarasota. Thereafter I worked at a few different ENT facilities and it just never felt quite right for me. In November 2020 I finally found my home at Southwest Florida Center for Hearing and Balance- a private practice owned by Dr Lynda Mercer, AuD in Fort Myers Florida. Here, in our small 2 provider private practice, we are able to provide a complete array of audiological services including hearing testing, ABR, VNG and VEMP, and cochlear implant services! It’s such a breath of fresh air to have the best outfitted practice which enables us to offer services no one else can! We follow best practices and strive every day to provide unrivaled care for each of our patients. AND we have two adorable office doggies!
When I am not at work I can be found with my hubby who is a fellow audiologist at the VA, and our 10-year-old daughter Olivia who is the light of our lives. She is an All-Star cheerleader at Topgun All-Stars in Fort Myers. Her schedule keeps us busy every minute of every day!
