Established in 1994, Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida has been named a “Top Hospital” by The Leapfrog Group for the past four years. It is the only recognized children’s hospital in Southwest Florida and provides specialized care for kids between Tampa and Miami. Lee Health opened the new 134-bed Golisano Children’s Hospital in May 2017, relocating the children’s hospital from the adjacent HealthPark Medical Center. It includes comprehensive pediatric services including a 24-hour pediatric emergency department, hematology-oncology unit, milk lab, Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center, and Level II and Level III NICU with 70 private rooms. Golisano Children’s Hospital is proud to have been named Soliant’s 2018 Most Beautiful Hospital in the U.S., a recognition determined by popular vote. The hospital provides vital health care for children from infancy through age 18. Services Include:

This week, we proudly celebrated the 5th Annual LibbiStrong Holiday Toy Drive, led by Libbi, a two-time childhood cancer survivor whose courage continues to inspire us all! 💙🎁

Alongside her sister and their team of helpers, Libbi delivered a generous collection of toys to help bring joy to patients at Golisano Children’s Hospital this holiday season.

We’re also extremely grateful to the Primrose School of Estero for their support benefiting Barbara’s Friends, helping provide care and hope to families navigating pediatric cancer.

Our Pediatric Rehabilitation team hosted another incredible Winterfest at the Women & Children's Medical Plaza! Families enjoyed sensory-friendly crafts, games, refreshments, and pictures with Santa in an environment created to meet every child’s needs.

Thank you to our amazing staff, families, and patients for making this tradition so special. Winterfest continues to be a beautiful reminder of what the season is all about. 💙

We loved joining the Florida Everblades for the annual Teddy Bear Toss game, where thousands of stuffed animals rained down to support kids receiving care at Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Snow Pile is back at Golisano Children’s Hospital! ✨❄️

Snow Pile is a special event created by the Golisano Child Life team to support parents and families whose child is admitted during the week of Christmas. Thanks to the generous donations from our community, our team transforms a conference room into Santa’s Workshop, where parents are invited to “shop” free of charge for every child in their household.

Snow Pile gives caregivers a chance to focus on what matters most: the health and wellbeing of their child. Check out the ‘wish lists’ for ideas on how you can get involved this year!

Donations may be delivered to Guest Services at Golisano Children’s Hospital, from Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. 🎁 (If needed, call ahead to arrange a drop-off time.)

We had an amazing time celebrating Dorian’s 8th birthday paw-ty yesterday! Our friends at the Golisano Child Life Department made it an afternoon to remember for our facility dog, with presents, songs, treats, and campfire stories to go around.

Strike a pose! 🕺 Everyone looked ✨ fabulous ✨ at our 13th Annual Golisano Children’s Hospital Fashion Show last week.

Funds raised from this event support the SEA STAR Program at Golisano Children’s Hospital (Safety Education Awareness, Sensory Training – Autism Readiness.) This training helps make hospital visits less overwhelming and more supportive for children as well as their families.

'Tis the season for friends and festive fun! 🎄

Our 9th Annual Porsche & Friends Parade, organized by John and Valerie Petracco of the Everglades Region of the Porsche Club of America, was an absolute blast! Our friends over at Iona McGregor Fire District and Lee County Sheriff’s Office SWAT teams dressed as elves, rappelling from the hospital roof to tap on patients’ windows. 🎁

We want to thank everyone who participated and joined us for the day; because of you, we were able to raise critical funds for the new Golisano Pediatric Surgery Center to treat patients locally in SWFL!
